Tibau Edges Varner

Gleison Tibau was victorious tonight in the FS1 featured fight with Jamie Varner. In typical Tibau fashion, the Brazilian appeared to control the first two rounds before fading late in the fight. Varner would attempt a valiant comeback, but a broken hand and Tibau’s tenacity kept him from taking the fight. The victory was Tibau’s thirteenth in the Octagon after twenty fights in the UFC.

Elliott Dominates Gaudinot

Tim Elliot impressed against Louis Gaudinot in front of a raucous crowd tonight in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elliot looked solid wherever the fight went but was his most dominant on the canvas as he beat up Gaudinot en route to an unanimous decision victory. Elliot is now 2-1 in the UFC and has won two-straight since losing his debut to Jon Dodson at UFC on FOX 3. Gaudinot drops to 1-2 in the Octagon but The Ultimate Fighter 14 veteran should get another shot with this being his first UFC loss at flyweight.

Lim Demolishes Krauss

Hyun Gyu Lim impressed for his second straight fight in the Octagon tonight against Pascal Krauss. Lim found his range early in the fight and turned on the intensity after cracking the German in the forehead. Krauss was never able to recover after that blow and eventually went down again thanks to a brutal knee from the Korean Top Team product. Lim is now 2-0 in the Octagon, while Krauss drops to 2-2 in the UFC.

Camus Tops Kang in “FOTN” Front-Runner

Hometown fighter Chico Camus took full advantage of his opportunity to fight in front of friends and family tonight in Milwaukee. The two engaged in a highly entertaining back-and-forth battle tonight at the Bradley Center. The close fight likely hinged on a critical exchange late in the third frame. After being controlled by the Korean fighter for the majority of the round, Camus would land a vicious upkick with about 15-seconds left in the round to seize control.

Kang somehow survived to the bell, but it would be Camus that had his hand raised in his hometown. Camus improves to 2-1 in the UFC, while Kang finds himself of being cut after dropping to 0-1 (1 NC) since joining the UFC.
