Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 27 event drew a reported attendance of 5,950 with a live gate of $355,290. The amount of compensated ticket was not announced, however the numbers are well under the UFC’s average. UFC president Dana White announced the preliminary numbers at the UFC Fight Night 27 Post-Fight Press Conference.
Wednesday’s main event saw former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit avenge a loss to Martin Kampmann in decisive fashion. The card, which aired live on FOX Sports 1, also saw Rafael dos Anjos nab his biggest victory to date over Donald Cerrone in the co-main event.
While the numbers were relatively low for a UFC card, White indicated that he was not bothered by the numbers because of the event’s mid-week placement making harder for fans to travel to Indy. The UFC’s previous trip to Indianapolis, for UFC 119, drew 15,811 fans for a $1,588,163 on a night that saw Frank Mir defeat Mirko “Cro Cop” Filopovic in the main event.
