After channeling Superstar Billy Graham to call out Wanderlei Silva in his UFC Fight Night 26 post-fight speech, it appears Chael Sonnen could get his wish. UFC president Dana White listened as his out-spoken fighter called out his boss on FOX Sports Live to make the fight the co-main event for UFC 167. White showed interest in the bout, but stated it was all dependent upon the health of Silva.
UFC 167 will be headlined by a UFC welterweight title fight between champion Georges St-Pierre and Johnny Hendricks. The billing will mark the 20th anniversary of UFC 1, which took place November 12 at the since demolished McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado. More bouts are expected to be announced for the UFC’s 2o-year anniversary card.
