Ok well I watched the vlog or whatever, um yay a plan, nice interview on cnn and u won something in NY cool..

Anyone here watching the “primetime” these a really good imo

    • aznstar_inc says:

Yea imma definitly watch Primetime, its a really well made show. Hopefully they will start doing this for all the fights, to help grow the sport. And they shouldn’t focus just on the training, it should also be used as a tool to show that MMA fighter aren’t just bar fighting dudes who stumbled into the cage. A lot are college educated and almost all of them are some of the most down to earth people. Due to my job I’ve had the chance to meet a ton of different athletes from every sport. UFC fighters have been by far the nicest guys. Just like 24/7 on HBO showed the human side to their fighters this could be the springboard to the next level for the UFC.

I agree that its a great program and more efforts like this will make the UFC greater, and shine a “better” light on MMA as a whole… I also agree that truly out of all of the fighters I have had the pleasure to meet 98% of them have been really nice guys (the 2% goes to Kos fyi) I just simply cannot wait til Saturday… O I don’t think that every event could have a “primetime” special but perhaps the “marquee” cards out of the year could I think that would be great

I’m inclined to agree with Dana’s take on getting pulled over for the cell phones. However I have nearly been in multiple wrecks because of idiots that don’t know how to drive and talk at the same time, doing 20 under the speed limit, in the fast lane, then crossing three lanes for no reason, and stuff like that.

Dana is pumped about the gym thing, I hope it works out for them, maybe they won’t have bogus sign up fees and two year contracts like some gyms.

Haven’t watched this Primetime yet, probably do that tomorrow. I like the show though, and hope they do more of them, but like FR said, not for every PPV.

Glad Dana’s on E:60, I’ll have to look for that one. Also, I may have to look into his “Irish Mob” TV show.

  • eldiablo says:

At 4:35 does Dana call the driver a “law breakin’ Egyptian” or did he call the cop that? What a vulgar-mouthed prick Dana is.

On the other note, the Primetime series is sick!!!! I haven’t seen the last one yet (saving that for work tonight), but the series really shines a much needed light on the people that are mixed martial artists.

    • justin says:

He called the driver that. How is that vulgar? He was trying to joke with the guy, I assume he had already talked to the driver and found out his country of origin, Dana isn’t so dumb to assume someone’s country of origin and then make a comment like that.

      • eldiablo says:

You sure do make a lot of assumptions. Both driver and cop had accents (the cop’s stronger), so a comment like that when being pulled over is beyond stupid. Second, it’s not just that comment that makes him vulgar. It’s that every word out of that man’s mouth is either “F” this or “F” that you little piece of “S”. Or do you not watch TUF? The man’s in a position of great power and although his mouth is essentially his schtick (sp??), kids kind of look up to him and the UFC athletes. Let’s keep it clean.

      • justin says:

Why would he call the cop a “law breaking Egyptian” when his driver was the one that broke the law? Yeah, he is vulgar, but the “law breaking Egyptian” comment wasn’t necessarily vulgar, maybe a poorly timed joke, but not vulgar. In regards to kids looking up to him, kids look up to Britney Spears, kids look up to hip-hop “artists”, kids look up to movie stars. I guarantee that Britney Spears has more influence over kids that Dana White, so if you want to complain about “oh its hurting the kids” go find some Britney bashing website and whine and complain because she spells out “f u c k me” in one of her songs. Or go complain because some hip-hop guy raps about “f*ckin b*itches and hoes”, because again, I guarantee you more kids listen to someone like Half Dollar (50Cent) than Dana White. Besides all that, it’s up to the parents to control what their kids watch/don’t watch and hear/don’t hear, not Dana White on his video blog or on TUF.

      • justin says:

Also, BTW, the cop has what is called a New York accent, because they’re in New York….

  • eldiablo says:

Wow, what side of whose bed did you wake up on this morning? Yeah Britney and 50 are poor role models, but we’re not here to talk about Britney or 50, we’re here to talk about mma in general, and Dana White specifically (in this thread at least). Dana’s making MMA look like a bunch of foul-mouthed hooligans.
If the boss can’t articulate himself on television (or vlogs, or whatever) without adjectives that start in “F” or “S”, maybe he should learn some more English. Or maybe the NYPD should look at this blog and take exception to Dana’s comment about giving the cop “an Egyptian right hand”. He needs to watch what he says on camera, that’s all I’m saying, but you seem to take offence quite easily.

  • THEDAVEB says:

Come on people! everybody says things out of bravado! have you never said anything when someone cuts you up in traffic, you catch sight of their ethnicity or their size or their gender and you shout some abuse! you wouldn’t say it to their face! let’s not censor everything! he’s just showing how human he is. we’ve had enough of that in the uk (johnathan ross & russell brand) believe me you don’t want that U.S.A.
