UFC 164: Houston Replaces Brunson Against Romero

An injury to Derek Brunson has forced a late change to UFC 164. In his stead will be Brian Houston, who will take on 2000 Olympic freestyle wrestling silver medalist Yoel Romero. MMAJunkie reported the late change on Sunday.

Brunson confirmed the injury after the switch was announced via twitter:

UFC 164 will take place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 31 and will air live on PPV. The lightweight title rematch between Anthony Pettis and lightweight champion Benson Henderson will highlight the evening. UFC 164 will feature heavyweights Frank Mir and Josh Barnett meeting in the night’s co-main event.

The card will also feature a pair of featherweight bouts as Dustin Poirier takes on Erik Koch and Chad Mendes takes on Clay Guida.
