UFC 163 drew an announced attendance of 13,873 fans Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC executive Marshall Zelaznik announced the numbers at the UFC 163 post fight press conference.
The 13,873 in attendance provided a solid turnout for the billing, placing it between the 12,500 in attendance at UFC 142 and the 16,844 at UFC 153. No gate numbers were announced for the card, though numbers could be made available this week.
The raucous crowd were a solid backdrop for UFC featherweight champion José Aldo’s title defense against “The Korean Zombie.” The fight saw Aldo victorious in a bout that saw both men needing medical attention after their main event battle.
