Excellent card, looking forward to seeing Brown and Condit hold their belts for a little longer. See if McCullough can bounce back and get into title talks again.

I can’t wait to see Garcia v Faber for the title. Fight of the year written all over it.

    • esoopteradactyl says:

Also, its amazing to see the difference between the welterweight divisions of the ufc and wec. Condit has decimated the ww division in wec but he definitely isn’t top 5 in the ufc and might not be top 10. GSP, Alves, BJ at 170, Kos, maybe Hughes, Karo, and probably sanchez at 170 would walk through condit.

      • justin says:

Which is why he is in the WEC, not the UFC.

      • willyd says:

He wouldn’t last very long in the WW division in the UFC, I think he could make some progress though in the LW division. When BJ takes GSP’s belt this Saturday and possibly leaves the LW division, I would love to see Condit come over and challenge Florian, Diaz, Griffen, Fisher, Sherk, Maynard, etc. Or he can stay in the WEC and own the WW division for several more years.

      • justin says:

BJ will not leave the LW division, Dana has already stated that if BJ wins he has to defend both belts.

      • willyd says:

True that is what Dana said, but things could change. Penn wins and that limits the amount of title fights. Figure Penn fights 3-4 title defenses per year, including a rematch with GSP, that could upset fighters considered #1 and #2 contenders in each weight division. Will be very interesting to see since it has never happened before!!

      • dbiz says:

Why would we figure that? He’s managed to do nothing since he won the belt…

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

can conduit even make it to 155? he doesnt look like hes got that much left to lose

  • YZFOXRACING says:

WAR CONDIT… HOW COME WE HAVEN’T SEEN CONDIT IN UFC YET… I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A CONDIT/SHIELDS FIGHT. WINNER STAYS IN UFC… I CAN’T STAND SHIELDS…

  • fr702 says:

I think a Sheilds Condit rematch would be awesome, I’m not sure Condit can cut down to 55, I mean Corey Hill can but I wonder how that worked out for him ya know (not attempting to be a dik but lack muscle help in breaking his leg imo).. I also wonder if Condit is going to break Brock’s arm again, but Larsen is a tough MFer should be a good fight…

Garcia v Brown well I just don’t know who will win that fight both are powerful, Garcia has a good chin and faster hand speed, Brown has ko power and good takedowns with good jj sooo that fight will be good to see

BJ Penn as the WW/LW title holder will defend in both weight classes but I REALLY doubt he will fight 4 times a year whatever the case, I cannot wait for Saturday

    • willyd says:

That would be interesting to see, Condit snap the arm in both their fights. Is it just me or does Larson look like a muscular Freddy Krueger?

      • FR702 says:

a muscular Freddy hahaha, if Condit attempts to break his arm again would it be the same one or the other one just for good measure? Is Brock going to be hesitant to shoot in on Condit?

  • bfree says:

Looks like a great card cant wait to see it.

Both Condit and Larson have improved significantly since their last fight. Brocks boxing looks much better and imo he should keep it standing and try to land a big left but im still taking Condit since he a more complete fighter and im looking for him to land some crisp knees to Larson’s dome. Quit giving Condit grief about him not being able to be in the UFC, he’s still very young and he could definitely mix it up with the top 10 WW but as beating GSP or any of that nonsense…well not many people can beat GSP and probably wont be for a while

Brown and Garcia is going to be a hellacious match. I’m still taking brown though, as he said after the Faber fight “I punch really f*cking hard.” haha

  • Ed says:

On Condits size and dropping to LW, I saw a WEC interview a while back where he dismissed that and said he was working to become a bigger WW.

  • DaNNyBoY says:

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I WILL BE AT WEC 39 LIVE! TEXAS HAS WAITED SINCE UFC 69….I CANT WAIT…JUST THOUGHT ID THROW THAT OUT THERE
