The expected matchup of Roy Jones Jr. and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson turned out to be just a rumor. Jackson will instead be facing Tito Ortiz in Bellator MMA’s first ever PPV on November 2. The move was announced by Jackson tonight at Bellator 97.
The promotion used misdirection for the announcement, with Jackson talking about Jones before introducing Ortiz.
The bout will see the two former UFC champions square off in what is expected to be the main event of the evening. No location or other bouts have been announced for the card, however more news will likely be made in the coming days.
