Bisping: “I’d Definitely” Beat Henderson in Rematch

Michael Bisping

Michael Bisping may be one of the sport’s more polarizing fighters, but even his detractors have to admit that “The Count” has proven to be a very resilient and rugged fighter in the Octagon. Of his five losses to date, only two have been via stoppage. Bisping’s most recent defeat came via TKO versus Vitor Belfort, and his only knockout loss in 29 pro bouts, came as a result of the skull rattling right hand of Dan Henderson. The ‘close your eyes kids’, 2009 stoppage, is still a staple on UFC highlight reels to this day.

The perennial contender recently spoke with Bloody, and Bisping relayed his contention that he could avenge the UFC 100 defeat, as well as several others.

I would love to rematch all the guys that have a victory over me. Chael is one of them, Rashad, Henderson, Vitor … I’d love to fight them all. I’d love to get another crack. After every loss I’ve gone back to the drawing board, so to speak, figured out what went wrong, and I’ve come back as a better fighter.

Dan Henderson? I know I’d definitely take care of him. Chael? I beat him the first time, but I’d make it even more unanimous in the second. Vitor? I was doing very well until I got caught with a head kick, so I’ve adjusted for that as well. I believe I could beat everyone that has beaten me up until now. They beat me on the night, so fair play to them, but I would love a rematch with any of those guys.

Bisping has been underestimated heading into several fights before, and he certainly has the abilities to any top ranked fighter some difficulties. The chances of seeing him rematch Henderson at this point, however, seems somewhat slim, unless Bisping goes looking for a rematch.

As far as Bisping’s next bout, which is rumored to be a fight with Mark Munoz, the British middleweight said nothing has been signed.
