UFC on FOX 8 reportedly drew 7,816 in attendance for a live gate of $735,000. The numbers were announced by UFC president Dana White following tonight’s action at the UFC on FOX 8 post-fight press conference.
Last night’s card saw UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson retain his title by besting John Moraga with a fifth round submission victory. The Washington native pulled off the latest submission in UFC history with his armbar victory over Moraga.
The numbers are far lower than the UFC’s previous trips to Seattle. This past December, UFC on FOX 5 drew 14,412 in attendance with a live gate of $1.52-million. The Washington State Department of Licensing will release the final tally later this week.
