UFC lightweight fighter Aaron Riley decided to hang it up after a loss to Justin Salas on tonight’s UFC on FOX 8 preliminary card. Riley announced his retirement via twitter following the fight.
Fight my last MMA fight tonight. It's been fun but after 16 years I'm calling it good. Thanks to everyone who ever supported my career.

Aaron Riley entered tonight’s bout following a nearly two-year layoff due the third broken jaw of his MMA career sustained in his 2011 bout with Tony Ferguson. Riley entered MMA in 1997 and tallied a 30-14-1 record in MMA, with notable wins over Michihiro Omigawa and a UFC 91 “Fight of the Night” with Jorge Gurgel.
While Riley never won a title, he always threw everything he had into his fights and the Jackson’s MMA fighter always did his best to entertain the fans.
