A lightweight pairing between George Sotiropolous and K.J. Noons is headed to UFC 166 in Houston. UFC officials announced the pairing earlier this week following a report from Australian sites earlier in the week.
Sotiropolous will likely be fighting for his UFC career when he faces Noons. The Aussie fighter has lost three straight fights, the last of which was a brutal KO loss to Ross Pearson this past December. Noons comes into the bout having lost three straight himself, including a loss to Donald Cerrone in his UFC debut this past May.
UFC 166 is headlined by the third fight between UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos. A bout between Daniel Cormier and Roy Nelson will co-headline the billing. The fight card will take place October 19 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. More bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
