Injury Forces Amir Sadollah Off UFC Fight Night 17
Amir Sadollah has again been forced to withdraw from his first bout since winning The Ultimate Fighter 7 last summer, suffering a broken clavicle that has knocked him out of his UFC Fight Night 17 matchup with Nick Catone.
MMA Weekly reported the injury on Friday afternoon.
Sadollah advanced to The Ultimate Fighter 7 finals with consecutive wins over Steve Byrnes, Gerald Harris, Matt Brown, and CB Dollaway, then defeated Dollaway again at the TUF 7 Finale in June to win the middleweight tournament in his professional debut. Sadollah was then booked to fight Catone at UFC 91 in November but was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a leg infection. After a late replacement could not be secured the matchup was pushed back to UFN 17 on February 7th, but Sadollah will again be unable to fight after breaking his clavicle while training.
The UFC is actively searching for a replacement for the bout, which was to air on the Spike TV-televised main card.

Wow, Amir is not having a good run of luck since winning the show… I like the guy (well what I know of him) but this is the second time he had to pull out of a fight due to some shhhh, which sucks I’ve been waiting to see him fight since he subbed CB for the 2nd time, first McLovin now this
ye kinda frustrating. been looking forward to getting abit more information on him as a fighter and what ability he actually has.
I was really looking forward to seeing him fight. I hope he can get healthy and stay healthy fir his next scheduled fight.
That’s a bummer having 2 injuries leading up to his 1st UFC fight since TUF. Hope at age 28, he can be around for a bit and show off his skills.
i like amir he is a solid all around fighter, im not going to lie but he was not the best fighter on the show cb was the better fighter amir just had his number when the show started i picked gerald wallace to win but amir upset him i dont think amir will fare well in the ufc i think that many fighters can beat him if they overwhelm him.
CB better???? um… come on man. He had 2 shots I’m not sure we’re ever gonna see Amir.
First I miss him at UFC 91 with some leg infection, now this. What is this guy doing wrong in training? Or what are his trainers doing to him? Crappy luck for Amir, but his body doesn’t seem to want him to take the beatings he takes. Anyone know if TUF contracts are guaranteed or are they the typical UFC “We’ll sign you for 4 fights but can cut you whenever we want” type contract?
WOW IT LOOKS LIKE AMIR CAN’T STAY HEALTHY AND COMPETE…BY THE TIME HE FIGHTS WE WILL BE CROWNING THE TUF FINALE WINNER OF SEASON 9 AND HE WON SEASON 7…..GEEZ PPL WILL FORGET ABOUT HIM BY THE TIME HE STEPS INTO THE RING
eldiablo i heard the contract is a 3 yr contract wit 3 fights a year whether its guaranteed or not i cant say for sure but just look at kendall grove if ur wonderin if there guaranteed
