Bobby Green will make his Affliction debut on short notice this Saturday at  “Day of Reckoning” against Dan Lauzon, replacing an injured Chris Horodecki who was forced off the card yesterday after failing to receive medical clearance for the fight due to a bulging disc in his neck.

Despite the newly booked matchup still airing on Saturday’s pay-per-view, which begins at 9pm ET, Affliction has shifted a welterweight bout between Jay Hieron and Jason High to the evening’s main card.

Affliction, well just stinks.. I also believe that Fedor (under WAMMA rules) should no longer be ranked #1 in the world and he should be stripped of the WAMMA HW title due to in~activity (not that I don’t believe that Fedor is the best HW in the world but rules is rules)

Am I excited about Affliction II well I’m a fan of MMA and so I would have to say yes, am I going to order this thing no.. Affliction is putting on their 2nd show ever, and we fans have waited 6 (+) months to see their next show…. Lie after lie, finding out that they employed a wife beating, money stealing, con of the elderly douchebag, and the secound show will be among us in two days… No promotion behind it other than the AA 360 type stuff and Fedor baddest guy around thing, so if Bobby Green gets to fight on this card bueno for him get paid kid, make sure the check clears go about your business… Affliction is not doing well and will have to work rather hard and change their approach towards running a proper business if they want to stay afloat.. Just my thoughts I guess cheers….

    Good stuff, FR.

Glad Green gets a chance at a pay check, I expect this will be an easier fight for Lauzon than Horodecki would have been…much easier.

On Fedor, well I wrote a blog about him, and at this point I don’t want to copy and paste since I haven’t published it yet, and I don’t want to get into all that before I get the chance.

Should be a good show ….. belfort and Lindland is a good fight fo sure . How would you guys rate Lindland and belfort these days ?

    • fr702 says:

Linland, he is getting older, but he still has a bit of game left in him, I just don’t see his want to finish the fights anymore, he is content with the decision I believe… I mean he is LinLand a very tough vet, but as far as MW rankings mmmmm what like top 15 probably I dunno

Vitor, hasn’t done very well or better yet lived up to his potential greatness.. Perhaps it was the roids, perhaps it was his personal issues I don’t know, but he is now attempting to resurect his carrer by moving to 185 and was training with Couture (not sure if he still is, but I think so) and get his head on straight.. People use to fear Vitor for a moment in time (small moment as it may have been) hell he ko’d Wanderlei in 26 seconds or some shhh like that, I just think he could have been one of “the greats” but he never amounted to that..

The fight?? Well I would be inclined to take Vitor on this one. He has a lot to prove and I think he will pressure Matt til Matt makes a mistake and Vitor will (t)ko Matt in early 3rd, then again Matt is pretty damn crafty and could use his wrestling as a defense to the aggressivness of Vitor…. Still I will take Vitor I hope he gets back to the top of his game

      • justin says:

I’m thinking Vitor may take this one, but I might be pulling for Matt.

Speaking of going for the decision (great transition I know…) what do you think about the fact that Hendo now holds more decision victories than anyone else?

  • fr702 says:

I don’t think that Hendo has the most decision vicories than anyone else ever, yet I do believe he has the most of a UFC big draw, anyways I’m not going to argue about that…
As far as his percentage of victories by UD or SD its not like he has boring asss fights, he always attempts to ko his opponenet and that’s his skill set, try to ko or go for the clinch and gnp it just so happens that people haven’t been able to ko Hendo and he just keeps coming and brings the fight.. I don’t believe you’re questioning his talent as fighter, I do believe that it just soo happens he brings the fight and goes to decision like 48% of the time….

    • justin says:

Yeah, I’m not sure about the exact numbers, I read it in an article on two different sites, and haven’t been able to find it. Basically they were calling him the “decision king” because he has something like 14 decision victories.

      • FR702 says:

I believe its 13/14 Decision victories which is something like 48% of his total victories or some shhh I dunno.. I do know that Dan Sevren has 20 decision vitories tho

      • justin says:

Yeah, maybe they were talking about the percentages… I don’t know…I guess I misremembered the details of the article. I’m certainly not saying that he doesn’t try to finish fights, or that he’s not a good fighter, so..yeah.

        Fr,
The Fedor thing is up, if you’re interested.

      • fr702 says:

I knew where u were coming from Justin, hey e~mail me that address to view the Fedor thingy, i am interested I will get ot it asap

    • willyd says:

I was looking on Sherdog on fighters that I know have gone to decision many times, of the 13 victories Machida has, 8 went to decision for a 61.54%. Hendo has 13 decisions in 24 victories with a 57.14%.

  • willyd says:

Everyone is forgetting the BEST thing about this card, Tito Ortiz making his commentating debut!! This will be a fantastic weekend having Tito commentate in the 3rd person during the Babalu fight, followed on Sunday hearing Mir give his unconditional love to Uriah Faber.

  • fr702 says:

Well he can’t fight anymore soo he has to find a way to make $$$$$
