Chris Horodecki Off “Day of Reckoning”
Chris Horodecki has been forced out of his scheduled bout against Dan Lauzon on Saturday at Affliction “Day of Reckoning” after failing to receive medical clearance from the CSAC for undisclosed reasons.
MMAFrenzy.com confirmed the news with sources on Wednesday and has learned that the promotion is actively seeking a replacement for the lightweight tilt, which was to air on the pay-per-view card.
A veteran of TKO and the IFL, the 21-year-old Horodecki was most recently active in April with a unanimous decision win over Nate Lamotte.
Lauzon, the youngest fighter to ever compete in the UFC, has won seven-straight bouts since early-2007 after previously dropping back-to-back fights, including his UFC debut against Spencer Fisher.
MMAFrenzy.com will pass along news of a replacement when it becomes available.

he looks like a 12 year old and i hate dan Lauzon too so good riddance to this fight.
Mysterious training headbutt cut? Or maybe he tore a muscle trying to flex for that stupid “we’re so great, watch us name drop now, then watch us put on a mediocre show on Saturday” press conference T~Shirt guy held earlier today.
God, just the other day I was thinking, “If only the UFC could put together cards where no one gets hurt…like Affliction! Those t-shirt-making folks really have their act together.”
And now this. WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT TO BE LIKE DANA???
LMAO great line
damn…I wasn’t goin to buy this card anyways but I was actually really interested in seein the result of this fight. Horodecki should drop to 145 and challenge faber, brown, and Leonard Garcia in the WEC. Could be some awesome fights in my opinion!
Testing the posting from the mobile site.
Mobile site is pretty damn slick. Makes it very readable. Handy for looking up fight cards when you’re face deep in nachos and slightly tipsy.
Hey. My phone doesn’t do that. I’m usually the one getting drunk.
“Horodecki was administered a pressure test. A doctor determined that Horodecki possessed less than 15% strength in his right arm and that he is likely to be suffering from a bulging disk in his neck.” This according to Shawn Tompkins via fiveounces.
That blows, was looking forward to seeing him fight again. Just wait till the youngster gets older and more experienced.
I can’t wait for this card. Looking forward to sitting with my Tito Ortiz action figure and listen to him commentate in the 3rd person, especially for the Babalu fight. It will be a historic night for MMA announcing!
