UFC heavyweight Dave Herman has passed his drug test and has been granted a license to fight by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). NSAC executive director Keith Kizer announced the heavyweight had been cleared earlier this evening.
Herman was required to reapply for a license under special conditions due to a failed drug test following UFC 153. Herman has had multiple issues with failed tests during his UFC career, the last of which the promotion required he attend drug treatment classes for.
Herman will face Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 162 on the FX portion of Saturday’s card. “Pee Wee” finds himself in a must-win scenario after three consecutive losses.
