Can wait to see that game… Suppose to be release May 2009.
I hope they can work things out with Allistaire. He looks like he wants to fight for the UFC (for the right money), Dana I think definitely wants him. Dana’s right though, none of the fighters in the UFC would be ducking a fight with him.
He’s still under contract with Strikeforce (he is their heavyweight champ after all) but it’s unlikely that will be a factor given the good relationship between them and the UFC. I’d like to see Overeem vs. Cro Cop at UFC 99 provided it’s held in Germany as rumored, otherwise any card, preferably in Europe, will do.
Yeah. I think Overeem on the Germany card is a good decision. I would expect the Europeans to know who he is, considering he was born in the UK and lives now in the Netherlands. The UFC is starting to build up a strong Non-UK European group of fighters.
I thought it was wild, I think it was in a different vlog, maybe 5 or 6, when they were talking about the popularity of the UFC in Israel.
Dana was really stoked at Overeem and Schilt, id love to see them in the UFC.
Semmy Schilt I don’t want to see him again in the UFC, just for the simple fact of his lack of ground game (yes I know he can pull a triangle every now again but…) I just can’t think of who he would fight maybe Heath Herring??
Overeem, is on a roll rightnow he is getting into his own.. To see his beef with CC continue in the UFC would be awesome, imo 99 (Germany) CC won’t be ready after surgery he just had but could be a possiblity… Overeem is contracted to StrikeForce soo it will be difficult for him to get out of that contract just to fight in the UFC (ask Couture bout that), perhaps StrikeForce would “loan” Overeem to the UFC but what happens when StrikeForce wants Overeem to defend his title?? One can imagine Overeem fighting in the early part of this year for StrikeForce finish his contract then becoming a free agent, off to the UFC he would at that point… But u never know what’s going to happen, and if StrikeForce does loan Overeem that could open the door for Le to be “loaned” as well, to set up a fight between Silva and Le, then ofcourse you would have to think if the UFC were to do that why not co promote shows and stuff well that’s why all of these possibilities are very unlikely the UFC doesn’t and won’t copromote

Forgot about Cro Cop’s surgery. 99 isn’t likely then but a summer Europe UFC card instead.

Was anyone else struck by the approach Dana took regarding Shogan. “Hey, good fight, you wanna fight again in April?”
It just seems to me that letting him savour the victory, checking out his body for any injury (unknown), and coordinating with trainers … would be the normal course of action.
Seem’s like he rushed him, and didn’t really give him a choice, and then announced publicly. It’ll likely all work out, but it seems like an approach that could create some issues for UFC (if the pieces don’t all fall together).
Or hey I pay u a lot of money handed u Coleman who never has cut weight before and he stood and banged with you and u barely finished him, sooo whatcha doin April I think Chuck is looking for a fight.

shogun looked that bad? i didnt order it so idk but all ive heard is how shoguns looked terrible. and zuffas strict about there videos on youtube so im in the dark here til they play it for free on spike. my friend said this to me afta watchin his fight wit rampage. he said wit out the soccer kicks and the stomps shogun wouldnt b as good as he seemed. i disagreed whole heartedly at the time but after seeing the forrest fight and now hearin how bad he looked in this fight i wonder how far off my friend was.

It is supposed to allow you to post a link, with two or more being held for moderation. However, I think Wordpress detects your name link as well as the comment link and therefore it had to be approved. I’ve upped the limit to 3 so we’ll see if it posts automatically next time you use a link.
Not sure what caused it, I’ve posted links before. I think that the emoticon may have caused it, as I’ve had posts in the past that had two emoticons and no links that were sent into moderation.
He looked HORRIBLE, the worst I’ve ever seen a Rua fight EVA…. I hope u get to see the fight somehow huerta….
After the fight, Rua made a comment about having broken his hand, but takes a fight with Liddell in 3 months?? A year and a half out of action caused a lot of his gassing, but there was at least 3 times when Coleman was about to face plant the canvas and Rua couldn’t finish him. Coleman wants a 3rd go around, please don’t, unless it’s another 49 second fight.
o a 3rd go isnt what I want to see either, If Shogun broke his hand that sucks he is too young to be having all of the nagging elements happen, yet bad technique can lead to breaking bones, but com’on I have never seen two guys (where one wasnt named Baroni) gass that quickly they both looked horrible and Coleman that guy is a tough s.o.b.
Chuck Liddell v Shogun Rua = confidence boost for the ICEMAN, unless Rua changes something right quick

That’s right, it was Palhares, not Rua. Was having a brain freeze moment.
I’ve read rumors that Rua was injured heading into this fight. Not sure if he confirmed it or not but he was likely injured prior to the fight, but what fighter who trains hard isn’t banged up?
