The UFC has removed six fighters from their roster. Headlining the list of cuts is Czech fighter Karlos Vemola, who dropped a bout to Caio Magalhaes at UFC on FUEL TV 10.
Vemola had a disappointing 2-4 run in the UFC that began at heavyweight. Vemola would drop to light heavyweight and eventually middleweight, but was unable to gain any traction in the Octagon. Consecutive losses to Magalhaes and Francis Carmont sealed the fighter’s fate.
Also on the list was Strikeforce import Nah-Shon Burrell. While going 1-1 in the Octagon, Burrell’s struggles to make weight made him expendable to the promotion.
Six Fighters Released by UFC:
- Karlos Vemola
- Roger Hollet
- Nah-Shon Burrell
- Anthony Smith
- Leandro Silva
- Eddie Mendez
