The August 31st, UFC 164 card will feature another competitor who is more than familiar with the host city of Milwaukee, as Pascal Krauss will take on welterweight Hyun Guy Lim at the event. The German born Krauss has spent considerable time training out of the city’s renowned Roufusport gym. The preliminary card bout was reported by MMA Junkie.com.
Krauss (11-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Mike Stumpf at UFC on FOX 6 in January, after losing by UD to John Hathaway at UFC on FOX 3 last May. Krauss also appeared at UFC 122 in his native Germany in 2010, and outscored Mark Scanlon for the decision win.
Lim (11-3-1) will be fighting for the first time since he knocked out Marcelo Guimaraes at UFC on FUEL TV 8 in March. The South Korean fighter , who has won six straight fights, was making his Octagon debut at the event.
UFC 164 will also feature Milwaukee based and Roufusport fighters Erik Koch and Chico Camus, who will take on Dustin Poirier and Kyung Ho Kang respectively. The event will be headlined by a lightweight bout between champion Benson Henderson and challenger TJ Grant. The card will be hosted by Milwaukee’s Bradley Center.
