pretty funny, would prefer to see something on the actual ufc or the event though rather than Dana making fun of a friend who appears to be as cunning as a fox with a degree in cunning from Cambridge university.
hey by the way, i am Matt from England and i have been following this site about 6 months now and decided to sign up and join in the discussions with you guys.
Why does dana say the ufc doesn’t have any olympians? i’m sure there are a few, couture, henderson, they might not have won medals but they were olympians right? he should have tried harder, f@£k me i try harder than that at work and i don’t own the company!
I think what he meant was that MMA is not an Olympic sport, sure they have Olympians for wrestling, and soon to be for Judo as well, but they’re not Olympians for MMA. Where boxing has Olympians for Boxing.
just had a quick scan on wikipedia and HENDERSON, COLEMAN & kevin jackson all competed at the olympics. kevin jackson won the middleweight tournament at ufc 14 & in the 1992 olympics he won GOLD for freestyle wrestling. somebody get me mcguigans email, i’ll convert him!!!!!!!!
everything dana says about boxing is true, don’t think barry had much come back, only taling about the money typical boxing imo
ps barry is a legend so dont rly wana bash him, he was fighting and was champ when boxing was boxing not like it is 2day with who gets the most money who has the better girls!
cheers johnboy, come on you whites!. there’s only hatton worth watchihg, but i still wouldn’t pay-not for 1 fight,no recognisable names on the undercard-whereas tomorrow night i know every fighter & actually want to see them fight!
Chuck. You guys have to remember is that the information that the athletic commissions release is just the pay for fighting and maybe a win bonus. Some of these fighters, like Chuck, get fight money, win bonus, gift night bonus, percentage of the live gate, and percentage of the PPV. That stuff add up.
Thats good to know because I only would see the pay for fighting and win bonus and some of those figures for “main eventers” was just flat out pathetic.
drift,
When Couture was pitching a fit about not getting paid enough, Dana stated on the record that Randy was the second highest paid guy in the UFC and that Chuck was the highest paid, making multiples of millions including all of the things I mentioned, on a night. He also stated that Randy was making ~1 million on a night himself, at that time.
this is pretty exciting, although the one where he ate eggs was pretty awesome to, or the one where he asked if the abc gum had been taken from someone’s navel.

Who made 4Mil in one fight?
I was wondering the same thing… My best guess would be Chuck. Hes their highest paid fighter.

Fight night* adds up* sorry, mobile today.
Chuck makes sense, and I knew about all of the other money they also collect, but was just curious who was their big money winner.
Made me wonder who had the best deal as it could have been Tito, Coutour or even Brock.
