The Ultimate Fighter 17 runner up Uriah Hall has his first bout booked since dropping the finale to Kelvin Gastelum this past April. Hall will be taking TUF alum Nick Ring in Boston. The UFC announced the move late Thursday night.
Hall impressed fans while in the TUF house with his dazzling array of knockout skills in bouts with Bubba McDaniel and Adam Cella. Hall dropped the TUF 17 Finale to Gastelum, a bout he was heavily favored in, by decision. “The Promise” Ring will be in need of a key victory when he faces off with Hall after dropping to 1-2 in his last three fights in a loss to Chris Camozzi at UFC 158.
UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 will take place August 17 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The card will feature a bout between former Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne. No main event has been announced at this time, however UFC president Dana White has promised a huge card for the UFC’s debut on the burgeoning network.
