i like GSP’s smile! i know it ercks BJ :)

just watched primetime it was a good show exactly like hbos 24/7

  • jenkins says:

i watched it as well. it was tighttt. although after watching that, i think BJ needs to have a reality check. GSP is far from a quitter. i like BJ but i think he talks wayyy to much smack. like, he says he respects fighters, but i think thats bull cuz that whole show he ran his mouth about how GSP is a quitter and gives up and will fail and shows no heart etc. are you kidding me BJ? i also thought it was funny how BJ acts like he wants to beat Georges so bad and how he says he trains so hard, and dont get me wrong, he probly trains ridiculously hard, but he took a break. meanwhile GSP was training like crazy. i feel more confident in GSP after these last few weeks and now tonight. cant wait till next weeks show. and i cant wait till the fight! holy f*** and we still have henderson and franklin throwin down this weekend! god i love this. hahaha

  • aznstar_inc says:

Once again BJ talking about how GSP is a front runner is correct. Hes a bully, when hes bigger and stronger and imposes his will he cant lose. but ive said from day one, if you take the fight to him and keep the pressure on i think he will crack. thats what BJ did the 1st round of that fight and thats what he needs to do in this this fight. I didnt care for the break in training, but who am i to tell BJ how to train.

    • gunslinger says:

jon fitch brought the fight to gsp and he got demolished therfore your theory is a fraud! and no im not a gsp fan im a bj and gsp fan there both great guys…

      • aznstar_inc says:

no he didnt bring the fight to GSP the whole time. but there was a moment at the start to the 3rd where he came out and attacked and thats where he hurt him. thats why after the fight GSP had a big bruise on the right side of his head from a left hook coming in and the flurries slowed him, but at that point he had taken to much punishment and it wasnt enough.

      • Ed says:

Personally I dont think fitch brought the fight to GSP, he survived. I think Fitch even said by the time he was in a position to bring the fight to GSP he was too beat up to mount any real offence.(by the end of the first round)

  • eldiablo says:

GSP is going to dust the cage with BJ. The guy takes a 5 day break in the middle of training for the biggest fight of his life. Then the camera crew rats on BJ,and Dana, ever the babysitter, calls to check in on him. Although I really don’t like Dana, but I gotta agree that BJ needs some discipline from his entourage.

    • FR702 says:

      Mr. Diablo, hello again

Dude look BJ Penn has been training for 5 months for this fight and he doesnt need to watch his weight, if he takes 5 days off sooo be it there is a article that quotes Penn’s trainer that makes logical sense… BJ Penn will be ok, and believe me GSP takes time off too while training

      • eldiablo says:

        Pleasure as always Fr

I never said anything about weight. Penn has a mini Fedor build. Perfectly fine and suited for mma. And I do understand the body’s need to recover. But 5 days? I know I’m not an elite athlete, but if I hit the gym hard after a week off, I’m hurting the next day. 5 days just seems like a long time to separate oneself (mentally and physically) from a fight like this. Take a day off here, a day off there. I don’t know. In retrospect I guess it’s not that bad and maybe the effects of working an overnight double are setting in, but it just seems like 5 days is a lot. But who knows, maybe you’re right. I’m tired.

    • gunslinger says:

you trai no where near as hard as bj penn, take that onto consideration maybe

      • eldiablo says:

gunslinger, I don’t know if you’re talking to me, but I belive my exact quote was “I know I’m not an elite athlete, but if I hit the gym hard after a week off, I’m hurting the next day.” Clearly I don’t train a fraction as hard as BJ; I don’t even train, per se. I work out an hour a day, 6 a week, that’s it. Don’t need to get all up in my grill about it.

  • gunslinger says:

uhh i train and believe no one….not one fighter in the world doesnt take a break..I take breaks and to think these guys who train harder than anyone to not take a break is stupid and thats how idjuries happen…do you want it to be gsp vs bj then give bj a break and i guarentee you that gsp takes five day breaks heck the whole week before a fight is a break…right now bj and gsp are resting waiting for the fight not in the gym

    • FR702 says:

And if you train for that long consistantly, you can hurt yourself rather bad in so many ways and to take 5 days or whatever can feel (to the body and mind) like a month, training is a biotch but pretty much thats what i think of that there

      • Ed says:

yes, you can over train. I dont think taking 5 days off is bad. That does not mean lay on the couch for 5 days and eat twinkys!
