UFC featherweights Clay Guida and Chad Mendes are aiming for a scrap at UFC 164. While the UFC has not announced the bout, both fighters are interested in facing off in Milwaukee. The prospective bout was announced on UFC Tonight.
The two fighters were originally scheduled to fight at UFC on FOX 7 before Guida was forced out with injury. Mendes would face Darren Elkins instead, steamrolling the prospect in just over a minute into the round.
UFC 164 will take place at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 31 and will air live on PPV. UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem and lightweight Diego Sanchez are also expecting to land on the card against currently unnamed opponents.
