UFC on FOX 8: Riley vs. Salas set for Seattle

Justin Salas

UFC on FOX 8 has added a lightweight out as Aaron Riley will meet Justin Salas this July. The pairing will likely land on the evening’s preliminary card. The bout was announced on Tuesday’s UFC Tonight.

The two fighters will likely be facing off with their jobs on the line when they meet in Seattle. Riley has dropped two of his last three fights. His last fight was at UFC 135 where he suffered a broken jaw against Tony Ferguson that forced a doctor’s stoppage. His opponent, Justin Salas, was last in action at UFC on FX 3, where he dropped a fight to Tim Means.

UFC on FOX 8 marks the UFC’s return to Seattle after successful cards each of the last two years. The fight card will take place July 27 at the KeyArena. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will face John Moraga in the evening’s headlining bout. A welterweight bout between Jake Ellenberger and Rory MacDonald will serve as the evening’s co-main event.
