A bantamweight tilt between Yves Jabouin and Dustin Pague has found a home in the UFC’s Winnipeg debut, which will see the promotion take the MTS Centre.
Jabouin (18-8) is looking to right the ship after a devastating knockout loss to Brad Pickett in September. Prior to that bout, “Tiger” put together a three-fight win-streak that included victories over the likes of Ian Loveland, Walel Watson, and Jeff Hougland
Pague (11-7) finds his back against the wall after a 1-3 run inside the octagon. “The Disciple” has dropped bouts to John Albert, Ken Stone, and Chico Camus during his promotional tenure. The TUF veteran’s sole win since leaving the house came against Jared Papazian last June.
UFC 161 takes place on June 15 and airs on Pay Per-View. The event is headlined by interim UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao defending his title against Eddie Wineland.
