The rumor mill has been churning over the last few days regarding upcoming match ups for the new year so check out the quick list and get yourself up to speed:
- Josh Koscheck vs. UFC newcomer Paulo Thiago at UFC 95 (Tatame)
- Lightweight wrestling machine Gray Maynard vs. Jim Miller at UFC 96 (TheGarv)
- Ben Saunders vs. submission artist Dustin “McLovin” Hazelett at UFC 96 (Sherdog)
- Ed Herman vs. returning UFC veteran David “The Crow” Loiseau at UFC 97 (CagePlay)
- Steve Bruno vs. TUF 7 alum Matthew Riddle at UFC Fight Night 17 (MMAJunkie)
- Josh Neer vs. Mac Danzig (re-confirmed after Neer’s DUI arrest) at UFC Fight Night 17 (MMAMania)

I think Jim Miller v. Gray Maynard will be very interesting… jits v. wrestling.
Saunders v. McLovin will be good too, it will be interesting to see if McLovin can get Saunders down into his world to put another highlight reel sub on him, or if he’ll get KOed before that happens.
Riddle I think will beat Bruno.
The Crow will beat Ed Herman and send him packing, if not, he’ll be back out of the UFC.

Dude, i can’t wait to see the crow back in the ufc. He’s going beat hermans arse. I like saunders vs hazelett. Good matchup up but saunders looks mean dude. He looks too strong for hazelett to get himself in a position to submit him. Then again, hazelett has sick jitz and also has a chance. ALso can’t wait to see rumble toy with fioravanti. Johnsons wayyy to fast for him dude.
i always like to see my boy kos fight and if i remember correctly ufc 95 is free? saunders vs mclovin has early fight of the year canadite written all over it cant wait to see that 1. i got riddle over bruno by ud although everytime chipper steps in the cage i always hope for a vicious ko like from TUF. idk bout david loiseau afta the rich franklin fight he just seemed terrified to fight (note the last fight i saw of his was against swick when he did nothing for 13 mins and in the last 2 remembered he was in a fight.) luigi got KOed by diego on the feet wat do u think rumbles gonna do to him his best shot is to take it to the ground… o yea johnsons a nasty wrestler too looks like its back to luigis mansion for u. maynard vs miller should b a gooden. itll either b a chess match on the mat or a war on the feet(if maynard keeps it standing) how could that not b a fun one to watch. phil baroni u give new yorkers a bad name and im personally starting a petition to have all of new york turn our backs on u. danzig over neer by sd
why would Kos get a newcomer? i mean, for all those who dislike him, the reality is still that he is up there. he’s had some impressive victories lately, and has been fighting top talent for a while. curious…

I don’t think he’s going to get a win against Kos, but he could surprise us.
I gotta think Loiseau is way too fast and powerful a striker for Herman to deal with. Ed will try to get a takedown and G&P but if Loiseau ends up on top it’s so so bad for Hermans beak and face in general. David has slowly but surely been getting back to his past form after the Franklin beating and look for him to go full tilt on his return, second chances dont often come.
maynard will ko miller im calling it right now…..maynards submission defense miles ahead of what it was on the ultimate fighter..if clementi couldnt sub him miller wont….i hope diaz beats guida to then we can see diaz vs maynard and maynard will destroy him and finaly get his title shot!….i like loiseau but i could see the crow and short fuse going either way im hoping short fuse gets the boot though i cant stand him…..dont know much about paulo thiago but if he is anything like any of the other fighters named thiago(silva,alves,tavares) then this could be a good fight……i gotta hope riddle wins he pretty cool….and i like saunders and mclovin but i gotta go with mclovin in this based on where he is from i cant bet against an ohio fighter from team JG
i think sherk and kenflo would be great fights if they fought maynard
some good fights here, McLovein vs saunders will be intresting, good chance for ben to put his name out there, and i wana see the badass back in the ufc

haze vs. saunders prolly haze by sub tough match 4 ben he can still win 4 sure its just a step up.I like both these guys tough 1 2 watch make my pick when its closer.Crow vs ed crow brings it he will stop ed rd2 tko.Not sure the guy koz is fightin? im not a huge koz fan hes like rashad he still has a bull**** attitude but is top knotch fighter!Koz has came along way Koz tko rd2. Rumble vs luigi luigi has a good chin & is tough dude i dont think rumble will ko him but he will win G&P afta he rocks him standin & ref will b forced 2stop early rd2. cheers guys

I know a lot more about fighters than I do trainers…but he is good, I know that. Delagrate is a really good MMA striking coach as well. Apparently Nog’s boxing coach isn’t so great…
