UFC lightweight Josh Neer was charged on Thursday with driving while intoxicated and eluding police after allegedly hitting two cars in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday morning before leading authorities on an 15-minute chase that exceeded 100 miles-per-hour. Neer was apprehended after police used spike strips to stop the vehicle, though he is now free on $7,000 bond.
Neer (21-7-1), who holds a 3-4 record inside the octagon, returned to the UFC in early-2008 with a unanimous decision victory over Din Thomas, but dropped his most-recent bout to Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night 15 in September. “The Dentist” is scheduled to return to action against Mac Danzig in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 17 on February 7th.

Well happy new year to you Mr. Neer…. Atleast no one was hurt, yet to go on a poilice chase isn’t the best idea.. DUI (DWI) suck and that will F everything up… He also blew a .137 which is a pretty good amount of booze for a wee little guy
Better hope he gets some kind of fight bonus, he’s going to need it after all those charges. With bad press like that it will be interesting to see if Dana doesn’t drop him
I think Dana will let Danzig beat him (which I think will happen) and then cut him.
Stupid
danzig will eat em!!! looks like he couldnt handle his booze guess he wanted 2 act like rampage 4aday dumb move neer!! i agree justin boot em out afta mac fight if hes not in jail!!
Double standard, if they give him the boot…. I mean Quinton has star appeal an brings ppv buys and Is an x champion. But he went on a “high speed” chase too, I’m just saying as a business owner what would u do, allow everyone to see the double standard u put forth, or stand by your employee??
Thats why you let him get beat by Danzig, then boot him. 3-5 record in the octagon. 1-2 since they brought him back. I definitely don’t want to see a double standard though.
yea true that. that would be the smart way to go
.137 is drunk enough to stay off the roads but it isnt THAT drunk. He should have had the sense to pull over and take his DWI like a man. The high speed shenanagans is unwarrented.
The world is full of double standards and unfairness. Every case is different and should be judged on its own merrits. If I was Dana, I would just use my judgement. I would not care what people see as a double standard or not and I would avoid explaining my actions. The bottom line is “show your ass and you might go.”
I dont know if I would boot anyone for a first offense, but I also dont know his history to know if this is his first offense or not.
He’s had a prior DUI. This is his second.
this is his 2nd dui what an idiot
what a dumb ass. i guess thats all they have to do in iowa
changed my mind justin he should not b fightin mac!! boot em now i think mac vs. wiman is a good fill in u justin
Here I go again…they are fighter for a reason.
You can take the boy out of the trailer but you can’t take the trailer out of the boy.
heh, I basically said that about Rampage the other day, only it was ghetto and not trailer.
I have to go with what I know…straight from the trailer!
Haha.
