Melvin Manhoef To Return At Fields Dynamite, But You Can’t See It!

Devastating striker Melvin Manhoef will step in last minute to take on Mark Hunt at tomorrow night’s epic “Fields Dynamite” event. Manhoef is replacing Hunt’s original opponent, K-1 superstar Jerome Le Banner, who is apparently out with influenza. One can only assume that officials are simply ignoring the fact that Mark Hunt outweighs Manhoef by about 70 pounds, give or take. Ahh, Japan.
Oh and by the way, that sharp looking “Fields Dynamite” show you might have been looking forward to? Well guess what, it won’t be broadcast anywhere in the United States. Apparently neither FEG, Event Magic TV, HD Net, or anyone else involved could work out a broadcasting deal. Though I hear Fightlinker has at least found a way to view the event via some nifty Japanese streaming application, should you be that determined to catch a glimpse of the action.
Lastly, it is my displeasure to relay that Hayato “Mach” Sakurai, another cast member on tomorrow night’s card, has joined the prestigious ranks of Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson and Kim Kardashian as stars of homemade adult videos. Thats right, an “amateur film” starring the Pride veteran himself and several other women has been leaked and picked up all over the internets. Wow, not even on HDNet, at least I won’t be missing anything by not paying for that.
Also, that keyhole TV looks like rubbish, though it could be slightly better than not seeing it at all, hopefully a better option will turn up.
HD.Net not having this is super unfortunate, allow my to explain….
with the success of the K~1 GP and most of the hardcore fans ie us, seeing it and being crazy about it, as well as the growing success of DREAM here in North America, the K~1 promotion and HDNet have failed to realize the true potential of allowing North America (as well as the world) veiw what is clearly a crazy asss stacked card. Look at the card really, and tell me that you dont want to see this event, most of us that dont have HDNet would gladdly find a friend who does and take over their personal space to watch this, and not think twice about it.. Now is K~1 going to be the PPV monster that Affliction attempts to be by putting on one show a year, no… I will tell you tho if this event was PPV i would buy the F out of it and pass on Affliction in a heart beat.. If HDNet were able to carry these fights it would help not only K~1 but DREAM WVR the whole lot, this is a major miscalculation, and a set back to growing Japanese promotions worldwide…. soo close to bringing back strong oversea promotions yet soo damn far

I am not nor have i ever been a PRIDE “nuthugger”, I absolutely enjoyed PRIDE but the UFC has always been numero uno, just some things are done a little different overthere, 10min first round, the show within itself known as the fighters entrances ect.. I just think this could have been a breakthrough card for K~1 and they’re missing this oppritunity
