UFC 92 Official Fighter Salaries: “Rampage” Tops Payroll With $385,000

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the official fighter salaries for UFC 92 and former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who posted a first-round knockout of Wanderlei Silva on the evening’s main card, was the event’s top earner, taking home $385,000 for his victory.
UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″ took place on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and aired live on pay-per-view.
Newly crowned Interim Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir received a total of $90,000, compared to former champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who earned $250,000 for his first-ever stoppage loss.
The total disclosed payroll for the event was $1,381,000.
The official salaries do not include bonuses and also exclude taxes, fees, sponsor payments, and other miscellaneous payments and fees.

Yeah, there should be a 10k minimum. That way none of the local shows can afford to put on an event, and no one can get into the sport on the ground level, therefore effectively killing off the sport.
Well, if they were to follow current trends in socialism I think it makes perfect sense. This way They have no reason and don’t have to work their way up and “earn” higher pay. It makes it so everything is fair and right with the world, eventually eliminating those silly rankings and desire to be the best. Damn Justin, why can’t you get that???

The pay scale is based on draw, excitement and win record. While I DO agree that fighters need to be paid well, I do not believe a fighter who is boring, loses often and is looking at this as a job should be paid just like top-tier fighters.

here is my thoughts on CB “the phantom tapper” Dollawayssss, this could be a mental thing with him, simply stating that while training you will tap with a slight squeeze to the neck or the first feeling of a bend of the arm to protect yourself and limbs… perhaps the kid trains soooooooooooooo hard and often that this thought process is um second nature to him, then he realizes o im actually fighting its not that bad of a choke im good and proceeds to step it up another gear, this might explain why he is a realitive slow starter.. Hell the kids got talent but????????? just a thought
