Tickets for UFC 96, which takes place on March 7th at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Tickets were slated to go on sale to UFC Fight Club members beginning at 10am ET today, but technical issues resulted in delays until around 10:30am (I was one of the anxious fans waiting for tickets).

Non-UFC Fight Club members can get their hands on tickets this Friday, December 26th, beginning at 10am ET when a special presale begins using the password “BUCKEYES”. Tickets then go on sale to the general public on Saturday, December 27th, beginning at 10am ET.

The event will be the promotion’s fourth held in Ohio following UFC 68 (March 2007 in Columbus – Randy Couture def. tim Sylvia), UFC 77 (October 2007 in Cincinnati – Anderson Silva def. Rich Franklin), and UFC 82 (March 2008 in Columbus – Anderson Silva def. Dan Henderson).

No bouts, including the evening’s headliner, have been officially announced for UFC 96, though Chuck Liddell has indicated he could rematch Keith Jardine at the event, presumably in the co-main event. Shane Carwin vs. Gabriel Gonzaga and Brandon Vera vs. Mike Patt have been confirmed for the March card.

THis Lidell vs Jardine Rematch is a fight put on by dana FOR lidell to “bounce back”. Don’t know if this fight makes much sense, or if i’m even interested in watching these guys “fight” again, cuz their “fight” was pretty boring. Having said that, Lidell needs to win by tko,ko and impress in order to “bounce back”. Dude, it should have been lidell vs vera. That makes more sense since they are both coming off of a loss, AND , if you can recall, vera called chuck out when he debuted in the ufc. WHat better timing?

Anyone know who the headliner will be?

The main event will be announced after Nog bends Mir’s leg rod like a pretzel. Lesnar vs Nog in C-Bus.

They like to have the belts defended every 4 months, 1 month off and 3 months to train so it makes sense with them not announcing anything yet. Remember last year they announced Silva vs Henderson right off the bat.

I think Chuck is going to try something diffrent since working with American Top Team look for a submission that no one expects expecially from greg jacksons camp. he will always be a feared striker but too many people see how to get passed that so he is going to show how he is a true mixed martial artist not just a striker, he had a awesome kickboxing record and was a good wrestler so i think he is gonna mix it up a little
