One-fight WEC veteran and wrestling standout Jake Rosholt will make his UFC debut against Alessio Sakara at UFC Fight Night 17, reports MMAJunkie.com.

A three-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion and four-time All-American, Rosholt (5-0) successfully made his WEC debut in November with a second-round TKO of Nissen Osterneck. The UFC’s sister promotion axed its middleweight division earlier this month and Rosholt will now transition to the UFC.

A nine-fight UFC veteran, Sakara dropped to the 185-pound middleweight division following a victory over James Lee in January, but was defeated by Chris Leben via first-round TKO in his debut in the new weight class. He got back on track and evened his UFC record at 4-4 with a first-round knockout of Joe Vedepo in September.

Other bouts slated for the Febuary 7th card in Tampa, Florida include headliner Joe Launzon vs. Hermes Franca as well as Mac Danzig vs. Josh Neer, Nick Catone vs. Amir Sadollah, and Denis Stojnic vs. Cain Velasquez.
