Krzyzstof Soszynski Submits Shane Primm at The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale
Junie Browning, Dave Kaplan, Anthony Johnson, and Kryzystof Soszynski each took home $25,000 “Fight Night” bonuses for their performances last night at The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale.
Lightweights Junie Browning and Dave Kaplan were surprisingly awarded “Fight of the Night” for their lopsided main card opener that saw Browning display superior striking, picking apart Kaplan on the feet for the majority of the first round before finishing Kaplan off on the ground in the second with an armbar.
“Knockout of the Night” honors went to welterweight Anthony Johnson, who avenged his controversial July loss to Kevin Burns with a third-round highlight-reel head kick knockout of Burns, which followed an exciting first two rounds of action.
“Submission of the Night” was awarded to light heavyweight Krzystof Soszynski, who displayed that he possess more than just superior striking and power with a second-round shoulder-tearing kimura submission of Shane Primm on the evening’s preliminary card.

Really surprising to me that fight of the night went to a lopsided fight that ended in the second. Escudera v. Nover should have gotten it.
Agreed, no reason for that. Junie was great but not fight of the night great. That would mean both fighters participated and there was only Junie in that fight.

so im predicting at least 175 points at ufc 92 for me
i think fight of the night should have went to nover vs escudaro….though junie did impress me alot he could end up being really good someday

I agree with you about that fight being one sides, but so was Wiman v. Miller the other night and it got fight of the night. Also, it Escudera v. Nover was less one sided than Browning v. Kaplan.
Justin you’re correct, perhaps it was Dana saying good boy to Junie (doubt that’s actually the case) but imo Wiman v Miller wasn’t a great battle either, they got paid tho
I don’t doubt that is the case. If that Junie had showed up against Efrain, we’ve got Junie in the finale. I think the Junie that showed up last night could have given Felipe a fair bit of trouble too.
I agree with gunslinger fight of the night was definitely escudero vs. nover, it was one of those fights where i wished it coulda gone five rounds, i believe Nover was finally answering the problems escudero gave him in the first 2 rounds. Soszynski had a pretty good submission however he did not impress me because Shane Primm is a small 205 and should be fighting at 185. Kaplan earning 25 grnd for getting his ass whooped makes me scratch my head, although junie did show out, i want to see him against a legit 155 and then ill be sold on his crazy ass
Even though Kaplan had one of the best entrances to the ring i’ve ever seen, he shouldn’t have gotten a bonus. IMO Browning looked terrific and he should of gotten submission of the night. Junie was definitely throwing some mean combos in the show. Get Junie and Danzig together for a match and that would be fireworks.
I’m glad Rumble Johnson got knockout of the night. That was the “Holy Sh*t!!!” of the night as well.
And Elliot the fire Marshall getting an easy win and i hope he is in the UFC for a long time.
I think Danzig and Junie would be a nice fight. I don’t know that they would do that because that would serve to expose Danzig as the worst winner from the show (which he was IMO).

I thought I could reply under yours, guess not. The point I wanted to make was that I agree with you that that Junie would have given Efrain or Nover trouble last night. Nover really let me down, last night but once he figures out that part of his game he will be a force.
Efrain was obviously more well prepared and definetely wanted it more that Nover. Dominated
no way was danzig the worst winner of the ultimate fighter it has to be kendall grove….mac isnt that bad…also mac is one of junies training partners now there both at xtreme couture…but for real i cant believe that anyone actually thinks junie would even get close to beating danzig…..now i dislike mac as much as the next guy but junie would get destroyed right now…maybe in a couple fights but come on really…..junie is really good though i think from the lw this season he will actually end up having the most success

I retract my previous statement and agree wholeheartedly with you that grove is the worst. I totally forgot about him, that’s how bad he sucks. Also I didn’t mean to necessarily imply that Junie soul beat Danzig, but that he would give him fits for sure.

to me its not that he is a bad fighter..because i really like kendall hes a cool dude but his chin just cant take the shots from most of the heavy handed top guys in the mw division….he is getting better though he looked really good against evan tanner(rip)…oo and kit cope is from what ive heard and seen is alot better now he has actually started training with the the diaz brothers and now has added jui jitsu and wrestling to his already spectacular muay thai game… he could end up being really good..he won hsi last fight by triangle, i like kit he is awesome i just think he started mma way before he should have i mean his 4th and 5th fights in mma were against kenflo and razor rob in the ufc and wec….i think he could actually end up being pretty good now..i cant wait to see

He doesn’t eat dead animals and he got ktfo in PRIDE, I dunno I think he is talented a bit cocky and he should just be more well rounded good fighter tho my opionion
