UFC Fight Night 17 Shifted To Tampa

UFC Fight Night 17, the yet unannounced February 7th event which had been rumored for Las Vegas, will instead take place at the 10,000+ seat USF Sun Dome on the campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Joe Lauzon vs. Hermes Franca, Mac Danzig vs. Josh Neer, Amir Sadollah vs. Nick Catone, and Rob Emerson vs. Kurt Pellegrino are rumored for the UFN 17 lineup.

This really is a great freakin card. Best free card I can remember, really.
Not sure if that’s sarcasm or not, never know from you, but it does look like a good card, to me. I think that’s a good location to have it, too. Well Tampa anyways, a bit odd to have it on a college campus.
Looks like a pretty good card so far. I think emerson vs pelegrino is going to be a sick fast paced fight. Don’t know what to say about lauzon vs franca. Lauzon has potential to be a tough fighter but his fight against florian’s got me quesioning his hard. He totally ****eed out.
Honestly Lauzon was not ready for Florian. It was obvious from the moment it started. Florian has been on a mission to get another title shot and after Lauzon beat Pulver he was taking him seriously. I think Lauzon needs another year of development before he will have a break out year.
I cannot wait for this card though. A good night of sick lightweight fights and plus I’ve been waiting to see Amir fight again.

Im looking forward to seeing Emerson vs Pellegrino. Im not really bothered about Neer and Danzig though. Lauzon and Franca should be cool. Im picking Franca for that one.
why isn’t houston alexander on this card?
Houston Alexander needs to work on being effective after his first minute of fury.

Guess he is working on his ground game, I do like Houston Alexander his “style” his story but the big bad man from Nebraska needs to work on his jitz, I do wonder how good he could be if he went to one of the top camps
I thought Alexander got cut from the UFC, am I wrong about that? It would be nice to see him train at a top camp and learn something about fighting on the ground.
are tickets on sale yet when will they be i need them before xmas
Tickets are not on sale yet as this event hasn’t been officially announced. I’ll post an update when the ticket information is released.
finally the UFC comes to Florida, by any chance does anyone know when tickets go on sale? i gotta go to this one.
