Johnboy , when hendo came in to the ufc he was holding both mw and lhw belt for pride , which is the only reason his first 2 fights were for the belt.

from what ive seen on who gets the shots, its who ever gets an upset ie lesnar/herring forrest/shogun evens/liddell, or who ever comes in with a good rep like dan henderson his 1st 2 fights in the ufc were for the 205 belt and the 185 belt, im sure that pissed alot of fighters off

To my knowledge there is no ranking system, I would thank that if they had one you would be able to view it on their website.

They determine who fights who based on who Joe Silva, and Dana White think should fight each other, and also whether or not the fighters agree to the fight.

I guess that brings back an interesting comment someone made I think last week. They were bagging on the UFC either not having some sort of rating or ladder system to basically “rank” the fighters.

So for my ignorant questions of the week….

I’ve not seen a ranking system for UFC. Is there one? If there is where can it be found?

If not, how do they determine who fights who? Other than morbid curiousity and the “he should get the next shot”.

There are abviously those that are in line to fight for a title. But what about the rest?

All I ask is to be gentle if I sound like a total idiot…**eager waiting for an answer in a dark closet embarassed cause I should probably know this S**t**
