Anthony “The Crush” Torres, not Anthony Johnson, will face Jess Liaudin at UFC 75 in London. Headlining the event is a unification bout between Dan Henderson and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Torres is replacing Johnson who was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a shoulder injury.
Torres has a 5-0 mixed martial arts record having fought in the UFC once before. In August of 2006 “The Crush” defeated Pat Healy by first round submission at UFC Fight Night 6. Torres, a competitor on the second season of The Ultimate Fighter, has now recovered from an injury which had sidelined him for over a year and will be looking to keep his perfect record intact when he faces London’s Liaudin.
Liaudin has an 11-8 MMA record and has strung together a 4 fight win streak coming into his fight against Torres. After victories over Paul Jenkins, Lee Doski, and Ross Mason Liaudin made his UFC debut at UFC 70 this past April against Dennis Siver. Liaudin submitted Siver 1 minute 21 seconds to win his UFC debut.
