I just don't see the UFC paying Lawler what he is worth. I think he is making over $100k a fight in EliteXC. Maybe more now because he's the champ. Anderson Silva made 90k last fight. So unless the UFC gives Lawler some PPV revenue, it probably won't happen.

That is definitely a possible matchup especially if Rich loses to Silva again.

i agree with the middlewieght division not being strong, but i would love to see robbie lawler( based on his recent victories) face rich franklin

Right now the division is really 5 major players (in my eyes): Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Martin Kampmann, Jason MacDonald, and Yushin Okami.

Okami lost to Franklin as did McDonald so I would say Kampmann will likely get the next shot at the middleweight title

Also, grab "Mayhem" Miller. Thrown him into the MW division. He can compete at 185 no prob. Look at all the contenders at 185 there is nothing left.

I agree Steve, like I've said before the middleweight division is so weak and could use all the talent and potential top contenders they can get.

I think a Franklin win would be best for the division at this point because the UFC can have him defend against someone like Kampmann and then have the third fight between him and Silva.

Need to get Lawler back in the MW division in the UFC. MW division is weak and going nowhere especially if Silva defeats Franklin again.
