UFC 77: McFedries, Eastman Added to Lineup
Drew McFedries and Marvin Eastman have both been added to the UFC 77 lineup according to rumors. Their opponents are not yet known.
McFedries, who has a 6-2 MMA record, has been successful during his 3 fights in the UFC. McFedries debuted at UFC 65 with a first round, TKO win over Alession Sakara. He was defeated by Martin Kampmann in his second UFC fight by an arm triangle choke in the first round. At UFC Fight Night 10 he knocked out UFC newcomer Jordan Radev in 33 seconds which was not ended quick enough sending Radev to the hospital.
Eastman first fought in the UFC in 2003 losing to Vitor Belfort. Another loss to Travs Lutter in 2004 sent Eastman packing. After fighting extensively outside of the UFC he made his return at UFC 67 where he was defeated by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the second round by KO. Following the loss Eastman headlined an International Fighting Organization event which he won by unanimous decision.

Where did you hear this at?
These are rumors but we received an email from a trusted source that they are likely to be on the card.
Corrected, thanks for the heads up Bobby…
McFedries KO 1st round. Excited to see this fight, it's going to be a slug-fest, but not a long one.
I agree Steve24, I expect McFedries to take this one before the start of the third round. Anyone else want to share their opinion on the fight now that it appears McFedries will be facing Eastman at UFC 77?
Kris – Quick question. Mcfedries lost to Kampmann. Kampmann is a MW. But now he's fighting Eastman who just fought Rampage who is a LHW. So what division is Mcfedries in? Did Mcfedries step up to LHW or Eastman step down to MW.?
Anyways, I hope Mcfedries is a MW. Him and Franklin would be a nice stand-up battle!!!
It should be a middleweight fight but it could go either way. I like him as a middleweight and generally think it is best for a fighter to be in the lightest weight class he can so he can use his height and reach advantage to its full potential.
If Franklin loses that match is probably one of several possible for Franklin along with a rematch with Jason MacDonald or a fight with Martin Kampmann. This division is weak and the UFC could use a competitor like McFedries at 185 right now.
If this fight does end up as a light heavyweight fight I will be sure to write about it.
