Karo Parisyan vs. Dong Hyun Kim Rumored For UFC 94
A featured welterweight bout between 170-pound contenders Karo Parisyan (18-5) and Dong Hyun Kim (11-0) is likely to take place at UFC 94 on January 31st in Las Vegas.
Parisyan emerged as a top welterweight contender following an early-2004 loss to Georges St-Pierre, stringing together five-straight victories. However, his immediate title hopes were dashed in a 2006 loss to Diego Sanchez, but he rebounded to win three more in a row and again establish himself as a contender for the title. A knockout loss to now-top contender Thiago Alves in April again dropped him down the ladder, but he remains on the short list of potential challengers for the welterweight championship.
Undefeated in 11 professional bouts, the South Korean Kim will be eyeing his third-straight UFC victory when he clashes with Parisyan on the Janaury pay-per-view card. Kim followed up a third-round TKO of Jason Tan in is UFC debut with a split decision win over Matt Brown at UFC 88 in September.

I hope Karo comes in mentally strong, when he’s got his anxiety under controle, there aren’t many who can beat him.
Karo is way too arrogant. Just like his cousing. Arrogant fighters never do well in the long run.
Judo is an interesting and underused style in MMA.. I enjoy watching Karo throw people and recently Nate Diaz’s Judo’esque techniques.
Always interesting to watch underused disciplines.. even if I hope he looses
His Judo is great, I personally don’t like his whinning after he loses, he always tends to have excuse ie he wasn’t really ko’d, or it wasn’t a real tooth that got removed from his mouth… I hope that Kim wins this match then we can hear how Karo deserves a title fight… Again…

Kim is a pretty good fighter with alright stand up. Karo is an all around well rounded fighter and should be the favorite but he’s been out for so long and was diagnosed with “panic attacks”, i mean he needs to check his mental state and come back and win if he EVER wants to be in that title picture.
I personally can’t stand karo or gamburian. Little pu$$y’s that swear they’re the $hit.

And most of “those” people do reconize Karo’s Judoka skills as superior to most..
I think Karo can do well in this fight if his mind is right. Hopefully he won’t pull out like he did from his last scheduled fight. Also, hopefully Kim can beat him.

I just can’t bring myself to care about Karo. Ever since he showed up on TUF Manny’s season, expecting to just be worshipped he’s come across like a bit of a pompous ass. Except he never fights well enough to back it up.

Karo has missed every title shot/contention opportunity he has had with injuries or losses. He missed his chance. He missed the mark. He is barely a gatekeeper if he is even that anymore. Karo is just some guy with cool judo and a dangerous personality. I fear for my life just typing his about him. I do not know what he is capable of on the streets. It could be very disturbing what he does to me.
hes obviously all talk… he knew zenkos judo was superior to his so he had a back injury less than 24 hrs before the event. what do you train a day before to have a back injury?? please let me know i’m curious

Im of the opinion that Dong Hyon Kim won this fight. Sometimes the outcome has already be preordained, this was Karo come back fight so they gave it to him.
