Missouri wrestler Ben Askren, who was nominated for the best male collee athlete ESPY, has opted to become a mixed martial artist. He eventually plans on fighting in the UFC but his story will be one to watch for years to come.
Renato “Babalu” Sobral has been arrested and charged with battery and trespassing. Reports suggest he spit on a bouncer at an MMA event in Florida. You can read the official arrest documents here.
UFC veteran Luigi Fioravanti won an MMA bout over the weekend. Fioravanti defeated Frank “The Crank” Camacho at PXC 12: Settling the Score in Guam with a second round TKO.
