Nate DiazRising UFC lightweight Nate Diaz, the winner of the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter, will likely return to action at UFC 94, according to GracieFighter.com.

Diaz was originally slated to meet fellow lightweight contender Clay Guida in his next bout, potentially in December on Spike TV, but the matchup was scrapped after Guida suffered a foot injury in his recent win over Mac Danzig.

Diaz will instead return at UFC 94, but an opponent has not yet been determined for the bout, though, depending upon the severity of the injury, Guida remains a likely possibility.

A winner of five-straight contests, Diaz has racked up victories over Manny Gamburyan, Junior Assuncao, Alvin Robinson, Kurt Pellegrino, and Josh Neer since mid-2007.

The UFC welterweight title will be on the line in the UFC 94 main event, as UFC 170-pound champion Georges St-Pierre rematches 155-pound title-holder BJ Penn on January 31st at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
