    Jens has his hands full.

  • oldman says:

jens is going to get tooled i figure.
if sonnen can manage to somehow win that fight it would do wonders for his career. I don’t underestimate him either after i watched him destroy a tough guy like credeur in bodog.

I love the WEC, look at this card its pretty damn good….

the two champs have good opponents, Filho is finally got his shhh together (so it seems)… Jens v Garcia thats going to be a standup war if Garcia cant take Jens down

    Uriajh sub rd 2

    Filho arm bar rd 3

    Jens (t)ko rd 2

Maeda by whatever he wants he just needs to stay away from the subs of Yayha but i think Maeda wins this one

  • oldman says:

FR pretty predictable calls, but we all know how un-predictable the fight game can be. I do agree that this is one hell of a card. The WEC is known for putting on a great show, but this one might show the UFC how it’s done. No ko’s called though, thats not typical WEC fashion.

  • FR702 says:

i guess you can say my calls are predictable, Jens by (t)ko, even tho i do believe that is going to be an absolute war
Cowboy v McCullough is probably the most difficult one to judge but im taking Cerrone because when i saw him fight in Sacramento he looked great
no offense to Brown but i dont think he has what it takes to beat Urijah, as talented as Brown is i just dont see it happening.. i know he destroyed Big Frog Curran his last fight but Curran didnt look the same none the less that fight earned him a title shot…

i want Filho to go to the UFC undefeated and i hope he leaves no doubt and walks out with Sonnens arm, u know he will leave it out there, and im not the biggest Filho fan but Sonnen has become bothersum

    Maeda is a warrior bottomline

the WEC is the #2 org domestically and even tho they are owned by ZUFFA they do things differently than the UFC and to great benifit… hell even their prices for tickets are somewhat reasonable… i will tune in for this event i cant wait

  • oldman says:

I’m with you FR. I hate being in Canada for these things though. It will take 2 weeks before i can watch this, atleast it will most likely be free on sportsnet.

  • timcat says:

    Faber by Ko
    Fihlo by sub
    Pulver by sub
    Rosholt by tko GNP
Cerrone in the upset of the night.

  • JustJoe says:

Faber looks like He-man in that pic. That has to be photo shopped right? lol

  • oldman says:

No way, Faber is a beast for a 145er. Some people are just built from birth. I bet kongo was born with a six pack.

  • FR702 says:

Oldman that sucks that u have to wait two weeks…

Timcat, u really think Cerrone winning is a upest?? The kid is really good atlest we can agree that he will win…

  • Surfingk5 says:

    @Kris,

I’m probably behind again as I have not seen any comments on the videos that appear on the page every once in a while…but, I love’em! Crack me up every time.

  • JustJoe says:

I guess, but he seriously looks like an action figure lol.

  • DR.DOOM says:

i saw pulver in las vegas once when he was still in the ufc the first time … I was waiting for my wife near the bathrooms at one of the big hotels and he comes up from behind me and starts asking me if I was one of the fighters … which threw me off for a sec … I thought it was an odd question from a stranger ….. he then procedes to say some **** and i started to take a step into him cause even though he had an inch on me in height i am 8 inches wider and 20 pounds heavier and he looked like a frieghtened little kid to me at that point . Thats when Dana comes walking by saying “no that isnt him man , cmon lets go ” … I recognized dana although his face was a bit pudgey in person … he looked back at me as he walked away with a curious look …. guess he didny want his guy to get beaten in the hotel lobby before a card .Maybe I coulda had a new job . hahaha

  • timcat says:

    Fr702,
Yea a mild upset, remember Rob McCullough is a former champion. I saw the Cowboy on one of the first episodes of Tapout and was a fan ever since, the guy can go. Greg Jackson is the man.

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

how is maeda not on the main card? wasnt hes last fight against torres(the champ) and wasnt it a sick fight? i believe if memory serves me it was so y is he openin the undercard? its crap i kno jake rosholt was on tapout but who cares hes a 185er and there gettin rid of that divison anyway. put the bantamweights on the main card!

  • FR702 says:

i too believe that Maeda should be on the main card…… that Torres v Maeda fight is in my top fights of the year… its a shame

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

right that was a war til maedas eyes were swollen shut and the docs had to stop it. and rani yahya aint no slouch either its just shocking to me that this fight isnt on the main card. like i said jake rosholt was on an episode of tapout but there gettin rid of that and the lhw divisons in the wec so showcase the weightsclasses u r keepin.

  • B Free says:

Cowboy is a beast!!! It would be an upset if Razor won in my opinion. I’ve seen Cowboy fight a couple times here in Denver and he has lightning in his hands and a very strong BJJ game.

This card is awesome and i pray its better than the last two UFC events. WEC seems like a very well oiled machine and i’m happy that there back in action
