one would figure its time for eastman to hang up the gloves before he gets punch drunk…

  • DR.DOOM says:

i met kang once on the BC ferry that goes from vancouver to victoria ….. he was very quiet and polite . Actually noone knew who he was and only after I started talking to him did a few others recognize the name . he doesnt seem very forboding in person … I was the same height and build as him … but you just knew that he could be lethal when he wanted to be .im glad to see he is back on track with the wins ……. go kang!!!

  • Mikew says:

Kang is a great fighter who is now unsigned in any organization, he would be an asset to any. He is a very experienced guy yet MMA newbies have probably never heard his name, i hope the UFC calls on him. I also agree Eastman should think things over, he’s exciting and willing but seems to have a knack for losing.

  • FR702 says:

I hope that Kang gets a oppritunity to fight for a major organiztion soon, Kang fighting Eastman in some small local (great for the fans forsure) isn’t where he deserves to be… He has had ups and downs but I believe he needs to be back at DREAM or go to StrikeForce or Affliction for their January show.. I personally don’t think UFC is that interested in him I just hope he gets back in the public eye soon

Great fight Kang! GREAT to have you back on track!! Full circle baby…full circle…

  • Surfingk5 says:

    Mr. Eastman, please stop.

  • KOuch says:

Happy for Kang. He has got to be UFC bound…..how could he not be?

  • Us And Chuck says:

I agree The Beastman should hang up his 4oz’ers.

    Kris

On another subject rumours are strife that Anderson Silva will take on Chuck Liddell next March and Dana said in The Telegraph (UK Newspaper) that this is very likely to happen in London.

  • oldman says:

Why does calgary get these kind of MMA events. All we get here is KOTC brawl in the mall and some MFC, don’t get me wrong it’s not all bad. It would however be nice to see some experianced “legends” like kang and beastman square off 4 hours north of calgary here in edmonton.

  • oldman says:

Silva would kill Chuck. Not saying Chuck isn’t any good, it;s just everyone has him figured out, thats all.

  • Us And Chuck says:

    Agreed old man.

18 months ago i would have backed Chuck but after being humbled by the lowly Rashad Evans and the slow down of his body this is a easy KO for Silva :(

  • oldman says:

Everyone knows that the best way to KO Chuck is you use his game plan against him. Get him to come in on you, wait for him throw that lazy uppercut he always throws and BOOM overhand right. night night chucky.

  • huertarogerhuerta says:

the only way i see kang not being in the ufc is if hes like that hanson dude who would rather have hemroids

  • Surfingk5 says:

    I’ll take Chuck over Silva.

It’s all about preparation. Cote survived with limited experience but great training.

I think Chuck could beat Silva as long as he stays off the coke, alcohol and women. His experience and training = a win over Mr. Anderson. It would be a great match up. Style wise I think oldman is right about how to defeat Chuck. He also could be in danger of over training.

CHUCK, I’m in. I’d be stoked just to watch.

  • baldnut says:

I love Chuck and would love to see him come back in style but against Silva i dont feel it would happen, although cote lasted into 3rd round, it was more for the fact he is a tough bastard with an Iron chin, most would of been knocked out well before, but at no time did he do any damage to Silva, had his knee not buckled out his chin would of before the 5 rounds were out i think.

Well done to Kang, be nice to see him in the UFC, hopefully that match will happen in the UK then i can jump on the car and go watch :)

  • Yeah I heard that Us and Chuck. I’m hoping to have a post up today on that and Silva wanting to fight at UFC 91.
