    gay name sick fights hahaha

  • FR702 says:

It offical now great start to the year end card and 2009 is starting off stacked as well (rumor wise) cannot wait for this card….

Big Nog v Mir (haven’t quite decided yet how can u not pick Big Nog the man just doesn’t lose unless he faces Fedor)

    Griffin
    Wanderlei

  • Justin says:

I agree with FR’s picks. Although, I’m pretty well decided that Nog will likely win, I don’t see how Mir can beat him. Nog doesn’t get KO’d, Mir doesn’t KO people, and Nog is great on the ground.

  • Eye-Rhyme says:

    this is a dream card!
    I HOPE NOG DESTROYS MIR!
for some reason i am starting to dislike mir, based on what i have seen during the ultimate fighter!
    i’m rooting for evans…
i think he will come out with an upset!

    as for rampage and wandi…
    i like both fighters..
    but i’m rooting for rampage…

  • YZFOXRACING says:

IM WITH YOU EYE-RHYME ON MIR/NOG I WAS ROOTING MIR BUT AFTER THE SHOW I LIKE NOG IN THIS MATCH UP…

BUT I DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THE OTHER TWO… I THINK GRIFFIN WILL KEEP IT AND I THANK WANDI WILL WIN….

  • D-BOI says:

    GREAT CARD!

    GRIFFIN BY DECISION

    NOGUEIRA BY SUBMISSION

    WANDY BY KNOCKOUT

  • the wurk says:

evans trains with jardine who lets not forget knocked griffin out and had him crying….evans to win!

  • E-ROC says:

Nogueira will win by TKO. Mir and Nogueira can match each other move for move on the ground, so they’ll likely be standing which the edge is given to Minotauro.

Anderson will beat Cote by decision. I have Silva beating Rampage by decision too.

  • Beer-is-what-i-drink says:

I hope Nog wins i hate mir he sucks.
I hope Evans knocks out Griffin because im a huge chuck fan n i think chuck would beat griffin.
    Wandy is amazing better win

  • mburtoni says:

Great card! We also get to see Okami vs. Lister and Kongo vs. Mustafa Al – Turk (I’ve never seen him fight, but he’s got a tough guy’s name.) This is def. the best UFC PPV of the year.

  • Myke D says:

    NOG
    GRIFFIN
    RAMPAGE

  • Jazzkok says:

It’s rampages destiny to lose just like franklin and silva. I believe evans will bring out the best in griffin and griffin will show what a great fighter he HAS BECOME and succesfully retain his lhw title. As for Nog and Mir, this shouldn’t be called “interim” lhw match, that’s retarted considering the fact that the true title match is in nov. I think Nog will destroy MIR.

Anyone know who else is on this card?

  • RyanMoney says:

Wow. Yea this card is awesome.

I agree with FR702. Nog, Griffin, Wanderlei.

Im seriously thinking of coming over for this one. Will be a great night.

Id even spend Christmas in a hotel room for this! haha.

  • FR702 says:

im Really thinking of going to this card i cant talk myself out of it i truly want to go

thx RyanMoney wow we agreed again haha

  • Mikew says:

I think Evans will find a way to win this one too, i love the heart and drive of Forrest but Evans is a crafty guy and seems to have more power and explosiveness than Forrest. I think Wandy/Rampage is a toss up with reach advantage going to Jackson, it’ll be a standup war for sure. A confident Frank Mir is a very dangerous guy and i think he is back to his old form, but Nog is never out of it, he takes a beating and keeps coming.

  • D-BOI says:

No way Mikew, Wandy killed Rampage twice in Pride (viciously i might add)…third time will be the nail in the coffin for ol’ rampage unless he can pull out a miracle and find a way to get out of wandy’s clinch which he couldnt do the first two times, so ADVANTAGE silva hands up

  • Mikew says:

Im just thinking about Wandis last fight, how good he looked and Rampage…who knows where his head is at.It takes only one shot and with the devastating KO of Jardine, Wandi is maybe more confident. I was also wondering if UFC rule differences will change the fight as compared to thier Pride fights.

  • shane says:

i dont know what you have been watching lately D-BOI but wandy hasnt done nothing to vicious to anyone in the ufc! his matches here have been nothing like he was in pride so all in all rampage the winner

  • whoopthatass says:

Wandi is done. keith jardine was a gimme for him. rampage is gonna whoop that ass. 2cd round ko!

  • JOHNBOY says:

some intresting opinions there so im guna give mine haha i think nog is guna win via tko mir just hasn’t got the stand up to match nog, i think forrest is guna win via sub im not talking a fancey sub i think he will choke him out, now to wandi vs jackson, im guna give this to rampage via knock the **** out, wandi is guna go into this match on a high haveing beat him twice already and on the back of a destruction of jardine (im guessing shane missed that match cos that was pritty vicious to me), so im guessing jackson is guna catch him with a big right hand and put him to sleep.

  • sam says:

“evans trains with jardine who lets not forget knocked griffin out and had him crying….evans to win!”

Griffin trains with Wandy who rape choked Jardine and ko’d him! so…anyone’s fight.

  • D-BOI says:

Guess you didn’t see him knock out Jardine in less than 30 seconds in his last ufc fight… Rampage will have to pull out a magic trick to finish Wandy just wait and see , wandy will destroy Jackson

  • Josh V says:

    Kris

Aren’t Nog and Mir fighting for INTERM heavyweight champion? I thought Randy is the champ and Lesnar is fighting for the title, then Randy/Lesnar would fight Nog/Mir for the undisputed HW championship. Help me out here

  • D-BOI says:

    rape-choked lol my point exactly

  • JOHNBOY says:

    josh v

u got it right pal u dont need help lol

  • RyanMoney says:

Nog got totally **** slapped in the face when Randy came back. I felt bad for him. I would like to see a Pride style Grand Prix all in one night for the belt. Dana said that he cant get it sanctioned. Hell, we even have them in Boxing over here. It would be a great battle with all four men if that was the case.

Why is Mir even being given a shot? Because of TUF? That’s crap. I would coach TUF if it got me a shot. lol. He’s on a two fight win streak following wins over Hardonk and Lesnar. That division is so empty its stupid. lol

  • knightboy624 says:

i may be high as the rockies, but if you look at mirs record he loses to people who small quick heavyweights and two of his 3 losses were right when he was coming back from his motorcycle accident. plus brandon vera was beating everyone then. vera lost to tim sylvia. mir snapped his arm in two.brock lesner was beating the crap out of him then he turned the tables, and beat him quickly. lesner handled herring and nog barely got a decesion and the ref could of stoped it when nog was knocked silly in the first round.he also beat tank abbot six years ago when tank was not a washed up alcey.and i dont know how long you guys have watching mma but he also beat pete williams who was one of the best.[knocked out mark coleman with a kick to the head] anyways i pick mir by sub. griffin by dec. over evans. and wandy over rampage by tko. and just so you guys know in 17 fights patrick cote has never been knocked out[13-4] two loses by sub travis lutter and i forget the other but his other two loses tito ortiz at 205 on 3 days notice.went to dec. and he held his own and the other was chris leban and that was a split dec. that could of gone either way but sometimes things are shady when ufc is hyping fighters.[bisbing over hammil and tyson griffin over clay gudia].so just saying that could be the next serra over gsp[ its worth throwing 20-40 dollars on bodog for him to win,you will get alot back]lyota machida and thiago silva are the best fighters in the world so basically i cant wait for that ish.

  • FR702 says:

knightboy624, pretty nicely done…. i by no means think that Silva v Cote will go to a decision, i do believe that Siva will win via sub (triangle choke) you are correct that Cote has yet to be knocked out but a shady decsion it will not be

you brought up Pete Williams nice

Remember tho that Big Nog destroyed Herring twice before getting the UFC cage with him soo dont just hold Nog to that one fight with the Texas Crazy Horse

I like Mir i also like Big Nog soo im still deciding

Lyoto Machida and Thiago Silva arent the best fighters in the world but if you believe they are i shall respect your opionion cheers….

ps others might attack you on this yet i dont want to F with you high

  • RyanMoney says:

Yea I see your point with Mir, Knightboy.

I’m not doubting that he is good, the guy is a very respectable fighter. I was just under the illusion that Dana wants everyone to work their way to Title shots. But like you pointed out, with credentials like his and the lack of competition up there, why not give it to him!

  • UFC fan says:

    awesome can’t wait awesome fights

  • UFC fan says:

i want Forrest Griffin, Frank Mir, Wanderlei Silva

  • RyanMoney says:

Also if anyone is into betting. http://www.stanjames.com are offering 5/1 against for Cote! I think in America you prefer to use decimal odds?, but in fraction terms… $10 will get you $60 back. (that’s including your $10 stake). I might stick a couple of quid on Cote. After all, no matter who is in the fight, those are good odds for a “two horse race”, so to speak.

  • knightboy624 says:

thiago siva is my favorite fighter, but truthfully machida is the best fighter in the world and everyone turns down fights with him. karate bjj and judo and he doesnt even have to be super cut.before rich fought spider he was 22-1 and the one loss was when lyota knocked him out.he also choked out sokadju beat bj penn and tito ortiz didnt know what to do against him. plus ryan money nobody has alot of heavyweights because its hard to be in shape and over 205. but couture gonzaga c. kongo cain valasquez frank mir, nog, werdum, herring, lesner and shane carwin looks good.they got stars i wouldnt call that divison stupid and hopefully they will get that black guy from elite xc[not kimbo the guy who was calling him out baker i think] its getting better.

  • RyanMoney says:

I know man, I never said it was stupid. I said the lack of competition in it is stupid.

  • oldman420 says:

    Yah i got

    Big Nog sub 3rd round
Forrest pulling it out 5 round war
and rampage tko, he doesn’t want to be make silvas **** again, he’ll whoop some ass.

And nobody does give cote props, he’s the kinda guy that goes out their to finish every fight, win or lose cote has the heart of a great fighter. Second round KO for the pred.

  • JustJoe says:

Evans–Everybody laughed at me when I said Evans beats Chuck.

    Nog

Jackson–Everybody laughs at me when I Say Rampage beats Wand. Whoever wins this fight needs to beat Griffin if he wins. How can we have Griffin as champ, the dude looked clueless vs Jardine! Hahahaha Granted, he beat Rua, but Rua didn’t really look right for whatever reason in that fight. I give Griffin props for dismantling Jackson’s leg, but I have to think Rampage would win in a rematch.

  • nev-o says:

i agree with d-boi wandi will be 3 for 3 against jackson and griffin will out work him. and mir doesnt have the submission and the chin that nogeria has its going to be sweet

  • nev-o says:

justjoe ur on drugs. look at forrests new camp. look at how ripped and in shape he was. I think working harder will beat knockout power anyday. rampage is one dimensonial boring boring boring, the only one who has entertaining fights out of jacksons camp is not him or bisping they both are overrated. Rampage would lose to wandi, machida, evans the list goes on he is too boring

  • nev-o says:

E-roc ur drunk as well. how do u think cote is going to take anderson to a decision. Can cote beat Franklin or Henderson i think NOTTT!!!!! i would put a 2 grand on silva by tko in the 1st or 2nd round

  • The Gunslinger says:

greg jackson will come up with an easy game plan and rashad will upset and win the title….wanderlai will destroy rampage a third time and nog will tko mir…also remember everyone support maynard this weekend

  • FR702 says:

Gun, I like both fighters definately… I’m not sure I’m going to “pick” one to support more but I’m looking for a great technical MMA match between the two..

  • The Gunslinger says:

    oh ya definitly

  • Justin says:

    nev-o,
your drunk and on drugs, you had to make three posts to handle everyone’s comments, and just to make sure you positioned yourself as the better prepared commentator, you accused the other people of being impaired.

p.s. I don’t really think you are on drugs, I said that to make a point because I don’t like the way that you brought forth your opinions. Though they are welcome, and I do agree that Forrest is a different fighter than he was in the Jardine fight, and that Cote does not have a very good chance of making it 5 rounds against Silva.

  • Mikew says:

I dont see Forrest as a favorite in this fight. Evans has shown he finds a way to win and is patient until opportunity arises and has KO power in his punches and kicks. I like Forrest for effort and heart but i believe his last two fights were against guys who were definitely off their game.
Forrest still lacks the power of a one shot KO which leaves him at a distinct disadvantage in this fight against a guy with lightning fast shots. I think Evans wins by KO early in the 2nd round.

  • Josh V says:

    Mikew,

In my humble opinion, Rashad is going to try to take Griffin down. If I was Forrest, I would concentrate on my wrestling and jiu-jitsu. Personally, I think Griffin is going to work Evan’s ribcage and legs with nasty kicks, getting off some nice combos. However, Rashad is fast, so Griffin had better watch that now-famous overhand right.

Bottom line: I can see this fight ending with a rear-naked choke after Forrest flattens him out. Anybody ever see Rashad on the ground? How is he?

    Josh

  • bbills5-1111 says:

    Great Card
    Evans will will shock everyone
Mir is gonna win by a spilt
and i think rampage comes bag big by KNOCKING OUT WANDY in rd 1

  • timcat says:

Looks like a great year end card. Here is how it shakes up:

    Big Nog wins by TKO
    Griffin wins by Dec
    Silva KO’s Rampage again.

Some guys just have the other guys number, like Silva does against Rampage.

  • YZFOXRACING says:

BBILLS… TALK ABOUT UNDERDOGS… MAYBE YOU GET ONE OF THOSE BUT NOT ALL..

  • mikew says:

    Josh V,
Good question about Rashad, he is an all American wrestler so he is solid on that aspect of the ground, probably not as good from his back.
I think the major difference here is the power of both fighters. Forrest has average power and gets you by repetetive shots where Evans has devastating one shot KO’s with kicks and punches, Forrest IMO will get caught. Rashad is also very elusive, very hard to hit and Forrest moves well also but is more an in your face kind of guy.I pick Rashad.

  • The Gunslinger says:

    rashad will win the title

  • FR702 says:

Similar to how Shogun was going to destroy Forrest, or Rampage was going to ko Forrest??

Have we not learned to not count out Forrest??

    *devils adovacate*

Rashad had zero chance v Liddell and looked what happened..
Jardine ko’d Griffin rather easily and he is Evans teamate
Evans handed Bisbing his only loss

    **
Well Forrest trains with Wanderlei Silva and Silva ko’d Jardine in 36seconds it doesn’t get much easier than that

Gun I can see all points but everytime Forrest gets underestimated he wins sooo that’s my point of view, plus I’m his fan…

  • Justin says:

I’m a fan of Forrest, and I really would like to see him win this fight. When he got the shot against Rampage, I thought Rampage would win, I even said “I have mixed emotion, I’m glad he’s getting the title shot, but I really don’t want to see him lose.” (not on here) In this case, I actually think Forrest’s chances against Evans are better than his chances against Rampage, I hope he proves me right and wins. The trickiest thing about picking this fight is that both fighters have that “it” factor that they “always find a way to win.”

  • pal says:

Most of the opinions expressed here are trash. Seems like there are a lot of little white nerds predicting fights here. Well, first, its obvious Nog will win. Then Rashad will either dominate Griffin or knock him out, either which way it will be a convincing victory. Finally Rampage will whip Silva’s ass, and quote me on “Whip his ass”. I will be laughing out loud at thoseof you who think otherwise.

  • russiandoeboi says:

wandys loss to chuck could mean that he’s not been at peak, but it could also mean he’ll think more strategically.
there is also the possibility that rampage is not at peak.
in spite of their recent losses and the car chase thing i don’t think of either as in the HW top 5 still.
cage is probably good for rampage but i’ve also seen wandy ko someone standing against the ropes out of a clich when both guys seemed gassed.

i respect both very much and the winner will be whoever has a great nite.

another reason that this is a hard prediction to make is that wandy has a legendary chin and the fastest recovery time after getting wobbled. however he was kO’d by henderson

  • russiandoeboi says:

    correction:
i do think of them as top 5 still i ment to say.
