Chris HorodeckiLightweights Chris Horodecki (12-1) and Dan Lauzon (10-2) will square off at Affliction “Day of Reckoning” on January 24th in Anaheim, California, according to MMA Weekly.

Horodecki, who was recently rumored as a potential opponent for Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson, is a 155-pound prospect who has competed in both the IFL and TKO, losing just once in 13 career bouts, while Lauzon, the youngest fighter to ever compete in the UFC, has won six-straight contests.

The lightweight matchup was originally slated for October 11th, but when the event was postponed the status of the fight came into question, but the up-and-coming 155-pounders will indeed battle on January 24th.

  • DR.DOOM says:

if you look at horodeki in the picture , he looks like a 14 year old boy in mma gear ….. haha but he can fight none the less ….just looks funny

  • Gonzo says:

This is going to be a great card. A lot of fighters from different MMA promotions. Just what the fans want.

Does anyone know why they are not having it in Las Vegas? I’ll make the trip to Vegas, but Anaheim, doesn’t seem exciting. What am I going to visit Disneyland on the days leading up to the event?

  • Agreed Dr. Doom, Horodecki looks really young but he sure can fight.

  • FR702 says:

I wonder if Affliction is going to attempt to make LA their “home” for events rather than try and make events happen in Vegas because all ZUFFA would do is probably make a event near Afflictions and hurt them at the gate as well as ppv sales

Chris can fight he is a tough kid and what Schutz did to him (trapping his arm like that) was violently awesome…

  • C-RO says:

i hope the lil **** in the picture gets knocked out

  • jiujitsuMAN says:

i cant stand horodecki…. hes a good fighter, he wins, hes young, he will be fighting for years to come, and prolly become very successful…

the problem i have with him is how he fights…

every single fight ive seen him in he does the same clinch trip take down, and it drives me nuts… but its not just that he does it every single fight, its also that people fall for it every single fight…

id like to see more from him, but i think lauzon is a good fighter and will put him in his place

  • FR702 says:

He does seem to do that every fight, I believe he will be great in the years to come, but I also don’t like how when he gets put in a sub he will “fall” out of the ropes in hopes the ref will re~start the fight (another reason why I enjoy the Cage more than the Ring) but he has many years to work on his game simply cuz he is sooo young and highly talented

  • D-BOI says:

man the kid in the picture looks angry….someone give him some candy

  • timcat says:

Horodecki wins this hands down. Danny doesn’t impress me one bit. Chris’ stand up is way better than Lauzon’s.
