@ Kris why is what EliteXC/ProElite did with Seth (giving a Ko bonus before the fight) legal? Perhaps I misunderstood its been a hell of a month I may have missed something, cheers…

Nothing new to report on the EliteXC thing. Florida’s investigating but I don’t expect anything to come of it. I don’t mind giving fighters specified bonuses for stoppages but I feel they should be for knockouts and submissions, should be equal, and should be laid out before the fight.

I also feel the UFC’s bonus (Knockout, Sub, and Fight of the Night) system is much better, but I think what EliteXC was doing was legal, the situation was poorly handled from the start, though a lot of what happened can be attributed to the fight-night changes.

Thx YZ, good to see you back posting… and i dont believe the EliteXC would have ever have put Brett in as the replacement for Shammy, due to the fact that they thought that by paying Seth to stand EliteXC would get a highight ko from Kevin Ferguson, yet due to Murphys law they got a highlight ko from Seth on Kevin, and perhaps they (EliteXC/ProElite) figured that Brett probably would have ko’d Kevin anyways….. if Paul wins v Brett i would definately like to see Brett v Kevin next o wait i probably wont watch another EliteXC with Kevin in it and not think did EliteXC/ProElite payoff his opponent?

i think buentello vs. rogers will be a fun fight to watch. i dont see it leaving the first round though! i would like to see joey v. take out lawler… hard to call it, though. all of alvarez’s wins have been due to strikes, and only 6 out of the 16 fights have gone past the first round! we really dont know about his eddie’s effectiveness on the ground, though. diaz has a great chin so he has very good chance of submitting alvarez! anything can happen…

@FR702 THAT WAS A GOOD POINT. IF ELITEXC IS TRYING TO FIX FIGHTS WHY DID THEY PICK A GUY WITH THE GROUND BEING HIS GAME WHEN THEY HAVE BRETT ROGERS OVER HERE THAT WOULD HAVE STOOD UP WITH HIM AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING INVESTIGATED…

Hope diaz go’s down.And would of like to have seen rodgers end the short reign of kimbo,rather than petruzzeli.But i’m actually looking foward to the lawler/villasenor fight.Does anybody know if and when kung lee is fighting again?
