The Carolina Crown Results: Bryan Baker, Brandon Garner Win CFP Titles
RALEIGH, NC — WEC veteran Bryan Baker, who was a late replacement for WEC bound Nissen Osterneck, won the Carolina Fight Promotions middleweight title at The Carolina Crown on Saturday at the RBC Center in Raleigh, knocking out Aitor Canup less than a minute into their main event clash.
In the co-main event Team ROC’s Brandon Garner, who failed to make it into The Ultimate Fighter 8 house after kneeing a downed opponent in the tournament’s opening round, defeated Seth Marquez in the first round the claim the promotion’s bantamweight championship.
Jon Owens, Joseph Carroll, and Roger Carroll also earned victories on the fourteen-bout mixed professional and amateur card.

They did it horseshoe style like Wallace Wade. So maybe 3/4 of 3/4…Info was not released…Yet…
So that would put the attendance between 10,000 and 12,000 or so correct? I think that’s a very solid draw, considering there weren’t even any mid-level names on the card.
yeah try like maybe 4000 at the most and maybe only like 2000 by the time the last 3-4 fights happend. I was there last night, would have stayed the entire time but was with some drunks that sort of ****ed it up and my girl was sort of tired cause it started late, there was still 2 more fights after we left and it was around 1130-12 already. I liked it, Matt Siera was there, he is the best, i didnt seem him turn away a pic or a hand shake all night, even when he had to go use the bathroom and it took him about 45min to get there. Fights were good for all but maybe 1-2.
News and Observer reported 3-4k…which would make it less than my eyeball estimate but more than most State games under Herb Sendek….also there were alot of people in and out and special deals so maybe paid and unpaid attendance are drastically different.It(N&O) was a really crap piece…Anywhere else and a sports reporter would be fired for not covering the whole event. Shame on the Team ROC fans who left before the two main events as well as the scramble after Brandon won…And for the idiots who were brawling and throwing things into the cage when Joseph Carroll won.
Sounds like they only had people in the lower level and the Mezzanine like they showed they would do on ticketmaster. The N&O piece was okay (from someone that wasn’t at the event) but they seemed like they were trying to tear the sport down. Also, they only said “appeared to be 3-4k” who knows what that really means.
