EliteXC “Heat” Weigh-In Results
Fighters hit the scales earlier today at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida to weigh-in for their bouts tomorrow at EliteXC “Heat”.
Tomorrow’s main card, which will air live on CBS beginning at 9pm ET, features Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson vs. Ken Shamrock, Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley, Andrei Arlovski vs. Roy Nelson, Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobold, and Benji Radach vs. Murilo “Ninja” Rua.
Gina Carano was the lone main card fighter who struggled to make weight. Carano, who has notably failed to make weight for past bouts, successfully weighed in at 141 pounds on her third weigh-in attempt after weighing in at 142.75 and 142.5 pounds respectively on her first two tries.

Im looking forward to Ninja’s fight did anyone see his last fight one word DAMN! he pounded the sht out of that dude…. And oh yeh why and the hell is cyborg not on the main card… The btch is ugly as hell but damn she look’s like the guy version of Anderson silva with all that striking look out gina you might be in a world of sht if you meet up with her!

No doubt in my mind that she will kill carano. She’s a better striker, and looks to be a better all around fighter. And she just might be a man. Jury is still out on that one. I hope shamy comes away with a win, but seems doubtful.

lol BW i agree, santos definately got toomuch testosterone in her system…she would murder carano….im still pissed Elite XC screwed over Brett Rogers…he should be the one who fights and destroys kimbo not some washed up shamrock who hasn’t won a worthy fight since ‘96
I really hope it doesn’t happen this way, but I see Kimbo by KO, Round 1…..I hope I’m wrong.

Ken has been KO’d by lesser fighters in the last few years and his only chance imo is to get this guy down to try and submit him.
This is such an obvious attempt to try and give credibility to Kimbo, it really pisses me off , yet i’ll watch it.
My GOD guys! Did you see Guyborg? What a f-n beast! I think there is a great chance we see Guyborg fight because 2 of the main card fights have a great chance of ending early leaving TV time for a few prelims. Guyborg will surely dominate.

With five fights and a two hour time slot it’s highly unlikely they’ll get to show the whole Cyborg fight but they’ll try to squeeze in highlights for sure.

elite xc is clearly afraid to give kimbo a legitamate challenge.He doesn’t stand to gain any more credit if he beats shamrock,he’s suppose to win,In fact it’ll look bad if he doesn’t get it done in the first round.I wish elite would grow some balls and put him in there with rodgers that’s the fight that might give him some legitimacy.But then again elite might go under if he loses,that would just be ashame.

You rotten S.O.B.. I remember our battle over Shield’s greatness before his last fight. Good thing for me Shields did the right thing and showed you true skill….thereby making my opinion of him right and himself better.

I just feel that Shields will submit Daley in rd 1 or get KO by Daley. I just do not see this fight going past rd 1….either way. Never know……. Shields will win…..if not KOuch will be furious…not that it really makes a difference how I feel.
Shamrock/Kimbo is another. fight that I see ending early….. If those two go the distance all of us will be here tomorrow flippin out over how boring the fight was….how Ken is old and Kimbo is garabge…yada yada yada… I see this fight ending early. Unfortunately for me, I feel Ken will be stubborn and try to stand and bang with Kimbo. As a result Kimbo will catch Ken with a punch and the lights will go out in Mr. Shamrock’s brain. I really hope Ken just goes in for a quick takedown and manipulates Kimbo on the ground….doubt he will.
Arlovski/Nelson……I seriouly think we can expect a KO or atleast quite a few brutal strikes. Arlovski by KO or TKO stoppage by end of rd 2 if not much earlier. I’m still an Arlovski fan so I am bias but do believe he will win.
Carano having slight weight issues gives me the feeling she may be a little tired from cutting so late. Not making weight is nothing new for Carano and others but there is no doubt it wears on a persons body. She could tire early and lose as a result.
All I am saying is that after looking at the match ups, strengths and weaknesses of the fighters, I have come to the conclusion we are in store for 1 or 2 prelims…..then again like you said, a 2 hour time slot may not leave time……couldn’t have anything to do with long drawn out boring pointless commercials could it??? No…..

carano wont lose…im just glad that cyborg fights at 148 so that should be a easier cut and should give gina a better shot at beating cyborg

Gina needs to lay off the fried chicken if she can’t hit 141 without going naked. Or at least weigh in naked without the towel up.
