Mike SwickWelterweights Mike Swick (15-2) and Jonathan Goulet (22-9) will square off at UFC Fights for the Troops, according to Fightlinker.

A cast member of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, Swick was eliminated from the reality series following a semifinals loss to Stephan Bonnar. Swick bounced back with five-straight UFC victories in the 185-pound middleweight division over Alex Schoenauer, Gideon Ray, Steve Vigneault, Joe Riggs, and David Loiseau but a loss to Yushin Okami in early-2007 prompted Swick to drop down to the 170-pound welterweight division.

Swick was to make his welterweight debut at UFC Fight Night 11 against Chris Leben but after Leben declined the rematch he was matched up against Goulet but was forced to withdraw from the bout due to a rib injury. Swick defeated Josh Burkman via majority decision at UFC Fight Night 12 in his 170-pound debut then took out Marcus Davis at UFC 85 in June to improve to 2-0 in the new weight class.

After starting his UFC career with a 2-2 mark Goulet left the UFC to compete in other promotions before returning to the octagon in a loss to Dustin Hazelett at UFC Fight Night 11. After earning a win outside of the organization Goulet posted back-to-back victories over Paul Georgieff at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale and most-recently Kuniyoshi Hironaka at UFC 83 in April.

UFC Fights for the Troops, also known as UFC Fight Night 16, takes place on December 10th at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The card is also expected to include Josh Koscheck vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Corey Hill vs. Dale Hartt, and Rich Clementi vs. TBD.
