Randy Couture In UFC 2009 Undisputed

UFC heavyweight champion Randy “The Natural” Couture will be featured in the UFC’s upcoming video game release, UFC 2009 Undisputed, as part of his recent settlement with the UFC, according to Yahoo! Sports‘ Kevin Iole:
“…As part of the settlement, the UFC gained the rights to Couture’s image for its video game. It never had that before.”
UFC 2009 is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2009 release and will also include Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Forrest Griffin, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, Anderson Silva, Michael Bisping, Amir Sadollah, Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, and Roger Huerta among its roster of 80+ fighters.

im pretty sure this game is just a big conspiracy, becaause i swear they’ve been pimping it for about 2 years now….jesus just release it at christmas time…and yes, its supposed to be on 360, they would be crazy not to do that
and according to the website for the game, its supposed to have “more than 80 top names in ufc competition across all weight classes”

Yeah i cant wait either. It will be cool if you can do like a seaon mode like control a fighter and move up and stuff. i also read that there is going to up to 80 fighters u can play with..

@southcakalak – Yeah, it will reportedly feature over 100 UFC personalities including 80+ fighters. It was written a little vague the first time so I re-phrased it so it’s more clear that those aren’t the only fighters in the game. Thanks!

Hate to say it after everyone seems to be excited .BUT ……. this game probablyy isnt as cool as it seems . What we see in the screen shots is the cut scenes ..the actual game screen will be totally different . We all have played the UFC games inthe past and they were the sh!ts in all honesty .
I actually enjoyed the UFC game that was on dreamcast, it was more arcade style, but still fun.

The UFC has even said that the previous games were garbage, and they are working VERY hard not to have a repeat performance. That’s probably a lot of the reason it is taking so long to come out, working on the engine, testing, going back into the code, testing again, they can’t afford to botch this again, if they do, they will have a really hard time making another attempt at the gaming market, which is huge.

there are videos of actual gameplay up already. looks ridiculously good. supposedly should be out around mid-late May 09. look up the videos they are easy to find. even you may be impressed Dr Doom. Well you should be at least.

Is he a playable character? I don’t see his name on the playable characters list. Randy is a legend in this sport and had some amazing victories. I know him and Dana White had some issues but a real fan knows that Couture should be a playable character.

Randy Couture, Clay Guida and Patrick Cote are not in the game at all they should make a 2010 verison with everybody in it not and every injured person too they deserve to be in the game and i have a XBox 360
This article is old information. It was later found out that Randy was not in the game because he had already signed an exclusive contract with EA Games during his contract dispute with the UFC.
