CB Dollaway To Return at UFC 92 Against Jorge Rivera
The Ultimate Fighter 7 runner-up CB Dollaway (7-1) will return to the octagon in December at UFC 92 and will meet veteran Jorge Rivera (15-6) at the pay-per-view event.
MMAJunkie.com recently reported the matchup.
An All-American wrestler at Arizona State, Dollaway emerged as the favorite on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter with victories over David Baggett, Nick Klein, and Cale Yarbrough but was upset by Amir Sadollah in the semifinals. After Jesse Taylor was removed from the competition Dollaway defeated Tim Credeur to earn a rematch in the finals against Sadollah but he was again defeated. He earned his first UFC victory in July with a Peruvian necktie submission of Taylor at UFC Fight Night 14.
Rivera is 4-5 in the UFC and will look to improve his record to .500 on December 27th. He’s alternated wins and losses in his last four UFC fights, earning victories over Edwin Dewees and Kendall Grove while dropping bouts to Terry Martin and most-recently Martin Kampmann in June.
UFC 92 features a championship clash between The Ultimate Fighter 8 coaches interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.

can’t say they’re doing him any favors here. should be an interesting match up.
Hey Kris I heard a rumor about Clay Guida’s brother joining EliteXC is there any truth to that?
Hopefully Rivera will beat him. I think he’s capable, but inconsistent. I do not like Dollaway, he came into TUF thinking he was already the winner, and the fights were just a formality. I also don’t like the way he talks, its almost as annoying as Nate Diaz.
on a side note, I’m in the top 10…didn’t even know I was close.
Dolloway should walk right through Rivera. Should!
I like C.B. He is a great wrestler and yes is a little confident, but hey if you think your going to lose than you shouldn’t be in this sport to begin with.
timcat,
I agree that if you think you’re going to lose then you shouldn’t be there, but to be on TUF and act like some of the other guys don’t even deserve to be fighting you is a bit much.
cb’s gettin knocked out
i think with cb, he’s a cooler guy than most people see. if you read his blogs, he comes off as a more level headed and respectful person and he even owns up to mistakes that he makes like his temper tantrum after losing in the finale. i get why people don’t like his attitude, but i’d venture to say that he’s not all that bad. skill wise, i think he’s got alot of potential so i’m glad to see him fight.
i dont think he’s a bad guy, i just see him gettin getting ko’d…perhaps a knee to the face when he goes to shoot for a takedown after he realiizes he cant stand with the old man
And another defeat for Jorge Rivera.
Jorge has had some great fights and he’s looked like a chump too. I can foresee CB trying to get another Peruvian Necktie… and he might just get it.
Yep, Jason Guida signed with EliteXC. Should have a write up about the eliminated cast member signings tomorrow.
Thanks Kris. You do a great job with the site.
I hope Jorge wins but I think he may get over powered. As a result CB will win by decision for controlling the fight and probably a take down or 5…….Be nice to see CB knocked the F out. He has a good face for unconciousness.
No problem, and thank you for the compliments.
A good face for unconsciousness, is that like a face for radio?
I guess sorta…. Kind of like Ethiopians reproducing. Starving to death yet horny….go figure.
KOuch,
funny stuff.
CB is also a douche… He can’t tap and lose with dignity. He lost my respect when he lost his second chance fight. Unfortunately Jorge in a roller coaster. Jorge, bring it and vote CB off the island once and for all.
not a big fan of jorge… but an even lesser fan of dollaway. its one thing to sound like a nice guy on a blog, you can backspace all day… its another to shut your pie-hole in real time. btw, that smirk is terrible, i’d be an *ss with a face like that too!
The rumor was they were worried about this card with the other cards all in Vegas so close together. I don’t see this fight as a selling point.
Its a meaningless fight…… both are nowhere near a shot
c.b has pu-pu face! you whoud have a sh*ty additude too if you smelled sh*t all the time!
windmiller,
he does…LOL
C.B said in an interveiw he never tapped to amir and i saw it on TV that looked like a punch to me so in the article i wouldve called him the presumed TUF7 winner but whatever it will be an excelent fight good reporting.
